sounds as a good idea. Could maybe also be an idea to bring up Vietnam and merge it with BG. They are a bit in the same style, only the mod is different, but we could make some adjustments

Some good various idea's, I can see the idea of ND and HS merging being a good idea, and like Snowman said, we can turn HS only on whenever.

Also having a free server for something new would be dangerous because of the current take of ET, trying to populate a new server, would be hard when we can't populate the servers we have now. I would suggest having a fun mod, so say if we ended up doing this idea, something like hide and seek could be good, a server to jump on whenever and maybe having certain nights on that.


Regarding the colours so say, what would be used? Purple and or blue? Or a new colour voted on with a poll.

Sorry, but I think they are nothing alike.
Also only butcher is left in vietnam (and even he doesn't play regular), so it makes no sense.
I think we are doing good on BG now. The worst thing right now would be to make big changes in settings/mod.

But that's not the topic here.

A few months ago I asked some ppl about a possible mixture of ND - HS, however the idea just got denied without consideration, and I couldn't even give a proper explanation.

Since ND and HS are still suffering from inactivity, I would merge the servers and the memberbase. After that it would be easy to set up a new schedule: only hs weekend or different events (just like the upcoming 9th 1v1 cup) could be organized on the "hybrid" server in order to increase activity. And I didn't even mention the addition of PsA meetings...

Why ND+HS?
- Because most of the ND members are familiar with HS membership (and vice versa, when it comes to player/server activity).
- Because both servers are running under Jaymod.
- Because HS is kinda dead (Sorry Snow and Santa)...but we can see the numbers, this is a fact.
+ Some members were dreaming about new type of TWC servers like silent, so there would be an empty server to try out something new.

I'm not forcing/telling you to do it, but I'm trying to show you a possible way to "max out" the server activity.

+1 for this great idea, also to change one of them to silent mod server is a nice idea, maybe a "new" mod will be interested for -TWC|Non-/Members.

Hey,

I am supporting Warden's idea of merging ND and HS together. I used to play a lot on Headshot and honestly I miss it. Also this would be a great opportunity to revive it. Like somebody mentioned, ND isn't oldschool anymore nor has been for quite sometime now. I do believe we can make an interesting new type of server and give it a chance, we have nothing to lose.

We have plenty of frag maps and we could add even more objective maps since it won't be called No Download anymore, however, I would keep the blue color for tags.

I agree with the blue tags staying, and as I've said regarding the server, if this change happens. Hide and seek would probably be best for fun events and or nights.

Also I have had another idea that could be good. It's called 'Stacknight'. The concept of this is that it's TWC vs Non TWC, no matter how many guests or members are one. Say on a Friday night on a specific server, we can have a stacknight.

My small 2 cents are:

What if we schange the levels?
For example level 50 is 'friend of server' and level 100 is 'registrated friend of server'.
Those level names can be changed ofc to soething that fits more.
But my point is, only give level 100 when players registrate an account on this forum.
Such a level system as this ofc means that all levels need to be re-ordened...
And my goal with this is, attract more people by giving levels... Which you actually dont want to attract becouse they hunt but maybe 1 out of 10 that hunts might become a stable, helpfull and active member or maybe in future an admin. And this level may need to include some commands and personalized gtext that trigger people to create an account here asap and hopefully within a short time they join TWC.

Even tho im even not 60% convinced about if this will work i'd still like it to be thought about, but this costs some time.

I agree with merge regarding member base but I dislike the idea of having another server to replace HS.

As HS is my test and 1vs1 server :-)

Im not a huge fan of sound, skin packs or whatsoever as I got /cl_allowdownload 0 and I usually never download them.

Also the daily meetings worked well when we were active. All we need is to have a member base that show up every evening at the same time for couple of maps and that’s in my opinion, the most efficient stuff activity wise
