Alright, let me answer to some of the points that have been brought up.
I feel like not all of you seem to have noticed the actions we set in charge even before this post.
We basically have 3 main spots to cover if we want to prevent people from throwing an inappropriate amount of shit at each other: Ingame, Teamspeak and Forum.
Because we literally can not look through the chatlogs every day for all the things that might have been said, we told you all quite some time ago already that, in order for us to take action, we need proof. Screenshots, demos, whatever. Even a time in the chatlog would do it so we could look it up for you.
Every time we got proof, we indeed did something. Remember this? http://board.twcclan.org/thread-7272.html
Its still in charge.
Unfortunately it only covers the Ingame and Teamspeak spots, and thats why we came up with the Post-Moderation (and no hani, thats not a thing we quickly thought out because of some post in the shoutbox, we planned it and discussed it for quite some time already to be sure it would work the way we intend it to work).
I will not make a huge reply to that nonsense about Sky being not objective, a bad MST or anything else. Our decision to choose him had a lot of thinking behind it and was not something we did light-hearted. We did talk to a lot of people about who would be the next MST and Sky was overall agreed to be the right choice. I am especially hurt by the accusation of him being not objective enough. Do you think any of you would be more objective? I severly doubt it. Nobody is completely objective, but I dare say that the MSTs are the most usually when it comes to whole clan related things.
Also, lets talk clear.
As unpleasant as it might be, I do know that you all seem to hate the BG people atm and are very certain they are the core of the problem and should be punished harder and kicked out.
However, I want to ask you, where do you draw the line? We can not kick everyone who is throwing shit, because that would mean we kicked the BG people, and basically whole HS, plus some more people who got into it, and maybe even banned some guests and clanfriends who couldnt keep their cool.
So, I hope you see that this would reduce us to about half our clansize and, more important, would kick out some actually normally really nice people.
Now, how else should we deal with people? Should I go through the logs and set 2 people against each other, and the one who did more bad things gets kicked and the other stays? Should we make it tournament style to see who in the end can stay member?
It is very hard to find a default guideline as to when we kick people for being mean. Mean in general, or do we leave it out when they talk with friends? Mean only on their server or also on others, or do we even add forum and ts? Do we go as far as to say: people, you are not allowed to write mean things on facebook about the others, or on whatsapp?
That is why, for the sake of not having to kick out 50% of the clan including most of you who answered in this post right here, we can not start kicking everyone for what they did.
However, as I wrote above, we do take serious action based on their behaviour ingame since the moment we wrote that post which is linked in the link i posted above, because whoever did not get that last call to change and keep the insults inside oneself, does not deserve better than being called out for it and removed from the servers.
The forum post moderation is another step into removing people who step over boundaries from talking to us at all, without having to retroactively ban most of you all (again, about 50% of the clan) from posting things on forum.
The action you all seem to wish for, meaning just kicking out all these mean and oh so bad BG members, is not possible without YOU being punished aswell. It would have been possible if you would not have decided to, from the beginning of this whole drama, throw shit back at them.
But since youre not innocent in this whole situation we can not overlook that.
I hope you understand that we do see some people do "more mean things" than others. However, everyone who does bad should be punished, right? And I think it would be unfair to kick out all of you because of things you said in the past months, since I very well know some things have been said in the heat of the moment because you might have been very pissed once.
I would not want to punish you severaly for that. That is why you all got that final wakeup call for ingame behaviour, and now with this thread for forum behaviour.
tl;dr: Everyone gets punished ingame and on TS and on forum, we just need proof, especially for ingame stuff, because we are not omniscient thus can not magically hear a bell ring if someone says something mean.
