i am happy when most off the poeple on the server are,
seeing my or some1 else his name in another language never happends. when was the last time you played et? almost every person in tj respect every other1 and if they dont we are there to help. but it almost never happends, you are welcome to come and look, its going great this way
i seen it once and it was my name and the person was speaking to change so i didnt even thought about it would be something bad.
we always watch for each other that no1 gets bullyd in any way.
we all came/come there to have fun and anjoy and we wanne keep it that way for every1 joining the server.

That actually is the way the server is running atm and its going great, or at least i havent seen anyone punishing ppl talking about others in a different language, nor anyone of our guests has filed a complaint against someone talking about him/that rule not being enforced. (So i assume it is the way the server is running :P )

Therefor it would just be some sort of a formal thing to adjust the rules to the things happening in-game. (Thats what this whole topic is about: adjusting rules to in-game happenings or vice versa)

And just in case someone feels offended, that person should feel free to tell that to the admins and i guess it wouldnt be too hard to find out what is being said which makes us able to punish if necessary due to insults etc.

Ooooor, as usual - keep things as they are with the rule being used like it is on all servers (no problem as long as nobody minds). If it is like you guys say and people dont mind, there is no fear needed of that rule. And in case there actually IS someone who does mind, that person is free to say that and expect it to be heard and worked upon.
Our servers are international and english is not just a random rule we came up with to destroy the fun people have talking in their own language.

Apart from the obvious "your english skills increase when using it" the english in main is mainly here to connect people from different countries, and that is what playing games with others is all about right? So in case someone minds and wants to speak english in a server with international people playing on, those people who talked in a different language should be more than happy to do so? If there are important things to talk about which require the mothertongue in a situation when players are online who prefer english being used, there still are pms.
But as i said, if there are no people wanting english around ofc you dont have to worry about it :P but in case there IS someone the rule is there to make sure there is a clear answer/direction to go when it comes to languages in online games.

every public server in et is international but its a twc server so we (actualy just you and lig) make those rules.
we simpely ask you to remove it because guests will be confused when they see a banner with: english in main chat only.
and we (so not you or lig) have to explain them every time that it is allowed to speak something else aslong other poeple dont bother.
that is why we simpely ask you to remove it, because i would be much easyer for every admin to tell them if some1 would bother what never happends.
i dont wanne be rude in anyway i just want to give you guys a clear vieuw!

so it is not about me learning english. i rather learn some german tbh.
and it is not about we are an international server.
and it is not about in case there is some1.
and it is not about connecting players, because in a tj server most poeple know eachoter already unlike nd or other server.

Tbh, masters points are pretty true and i literally agree with all of them.
And exactly for that reasons it was my wish/suggestion to remove that rule as it became kinda pointless in tj anyways.

There are just major differences between tj and the other servers and you can believe master and me if we say that it is a good idea to do smth and it will definetly be in favor of the comfort our guests as well as ourselves.

Nor i think we should "force" ppl to be connected by making them speak english. Its their own free will to whether communicate with everyone or just with a few specific ppl and i dont see any reason to prevent them from doing so in the main chat.

Ofc this is just a suggestion that master, me and especially alot of guests would gladly see come true as a lot of them were already complaining about the existence of that rule while sometimes also being worried about maybe breaking that rule which leads to us needing to explain the same things over and over again.

If there are any bad things about dismissing this rule on the tj server that havent been discussed yet, id gladly hear them, but for now im sticking with the wish of me and also the ppl mentioned above.

Imo, we should change banner to something like: Please use english in main chat. But those ppl can make fire teams aswell. So I would keep this rule and make actions only when people complain.

why keeping a rule when its not used? to be able to punish some1 if there would be a problem?
you can do that aswell with no rule because players have to respect other players.
but legendz lets be honest you ever seen some1 complaining about it?
and even if you wanne keep the rule i would go along but that also means we have to act like it and it will cost you around 20/30 players.
i mean whats the point off keeping a traffic light while no1 stops for it:P

I'm not the type for long posts, so I'll try to do some explanations to my opinion.

As I've said we should change it to: Please use English in main chat. I would do that, because I often see people speaking in many different langues. And when you see your name in that text, you instantly think of something bad (at least I do) and than the other person writes something like HaHa or rofl and so on... So to prevent people from feeling like they are being gossiped, we should keep this rule. So they would simply demand those people to speak in English when they feel offended and that's when we (admins) come in if they refuse to and ask them to speak in English or create a fire team.

I hope that you know what I meant.

So as a punishment when they refuse to stop speaking in their native language we simply mute them for bout 5 minutes.

I know that we are international server, but we shouldn't let people bully each other in different languages.

Also if we remove this rule, the "Do not offend others" rule kinda doesn't work anymore because they can simply offend people in their own language and we can't do anything about it. And if we would take action (if this rule gets removed), they would scream admin abuse and so on.

ofc it is not nice and not allowed to bully some1 but did you ever see it? or did you ever see your name when some1 talking in another language?

if we are in the server without the rule and some1 would complain hes being bully its pretty easy to start up google translate, i have never seen it but if it might happend you can look for proof right there. and then it would not be abuse to correct some1. and if they still think it is they are welcome to post in on the forum.
