I'm gonna have to say that, I'd like to see that rule enforced. Or if not enforced then just give up on it.

But we also have to take into consideration that the popularity of our server might go down due to other servers allowing ppl to speak their native language.
In my opinion we should just dismiss it on the one hand due to the reasons like our popularity and the general use of another language isnt bad, but on the other hand we cannot make sure ppl dont start insulting in other languages as we cant rlly control it.
I'd like to get opinions of Change and the other HAs tho.

As a side note, the rule indeed is "english in main" in its written form, however the way the whole twc community enforces it through the various games and servers is more like "english in main if someone bothers".
Meaning, if i talk german in a server and nobody has a problem with it - fine. But if someone isnt comfortable with it and tell me so, i have to stop it and switch to english if i want to continue talking.
That way people do not have to speak english if e.g. theyre just a small group at a late night in a server with nobody else, but at the same time we can make sure guests or players in general do not have to bear with constantly getting smashed in the face with 100+ different languages (especially if they see their name somewhere in the gibberish)

Well, i wasnt informed about that, as i already got immediately muted in ND for using another language without anyone telling me that he/she is bothered about my usage of another language to make a point clear more easily.
It was kinda weird to see this rule being enforced on ND completely as it is written down while its written down the same for TJ, but staying completely unenforced there.
Thats why i suggested to make this a little more clear.

for nd i totaly understand, for tj however i think the rule can be totally deleted.
first off all there is a banner: only english in main chat!
second i never heard some1 complaining about it and even if it would be 1, it doesnt even count.
and it would be pretty stupid if 20 poeple have to suffer cause 1 kid would be complaining for it imo, you cant make the whole world happy.
so i think it still would be good to delete it or make a vote for it but thats not up to me anyway.
its not enforced already so why not just delete it?
for maybe 1 guest a 2 years while all the other guest who would like to speak another language are confused because they see the banner and they also see every1 talking there own language and they are all like wth?

And you are happy with people on the server openly in main chat talking in a different language and seeing your name appear in their talks including them laughing their heart out for a reason you can not understand and probably is a at least slightly offending/bullying one?

on other less populated servers i think the best we can do is just see the situation and act accordingly, no need for strict set of actions to follow, just do what you think is best at that moment.
if someone is bothered by it then ask/say only english in mainchat.... otherwise i see no reason to stop anyone from speaking their native language in main
