Server name change part 2 (archived by yourdog)

Ive given it some thought, and i actually like the idea of objective combined with nitmod. I think that might be a good representation of the server. But i would like to give it some more thought, because it is not catchy and might not be that inviting aswell.

I like the idea of -TWC|N!tmod Objective as well. And it might not be catchy but it is right to the point. And not inviting? I find carnage or explosive even less inviting.

I have to say that I like Hellfire by Chris tho. :>

And IMO -TWC|N!tmod Objective XPS or something is too long, do not like names like that. :P

Ok. So there was a poll before this one ( here is a link for you, because apparently nobody bothered checking: http://board.twcclan.org/thread-5965.html ). The poll quite clearly (2/3 voted for it) came to the result that the name of the server should be changed.

Now simple logic dictates that you cannot ever change something without actually changing it. I find it quite ridiculous that I even have to explain this to you. Even if yourdog mentioned the original name in his first post, I thought his emoticon suggested that it was merely a joke. Either way, there is literally not a single reason anyone should assume the name will stay the same and as such any comments that demands so is superfluous. Even though we are quite lenient concerning off-topic posts it's discussions like these that for whatever reason tend to escalate to a ridiculous amount, which is why we tend to quite strictly delete any off-topic post. ELI5: When anyone asks you to choose between Apples and Oranges, he doesn't want or need to hear about how much you like Bananas.

I like to think I explained this the last time (forum supporter anyone?), that it's by no means anywhere close to us restricting your opinion. Anyone who says so is either ignorant, or simply trying to keep a pointless discussion going (feel free to choose for yourself). Because we prefer people in here to respect each other, we make sure that any form of discussion stays reasonably objective, which especially Chris has repeatedly disregarded. Also, whether your opinion is valid or not doesn't even matter. This thread doesn't ask for such opinions, hence they were deleted as 'off-topic'.

Seeing your last post I assume you get all this by now, but I still felt the need to explain it (again), as obviously it hasn't been explained enough already.

TL;DR if you don't contribute to the discussion at hand, this is not the place to share your opinion at.

Thats a good server name imo. Theres no need for nitmod objective or nitmod beginners or even nitmod asdfdfdsasdsdf.

That name at the top will attract the most guests.

Hmmm, well you cant just name a server based on nothing, imo if you want to attract new people and make the server "popular" maybe u should kick bots and go with TWC|Real players only XPS / TWC|N!tmod real players only (smth within these lines) just renaming the server itself and making no other changes wont do much it might even do worse (then again I may be wrong), so insted of just coming up with a new name, try to think of smth thats going to make the server stand out from other servers. What would that be? (Nice comunnity & active members then -> Rename to TWC|Real players only xps, and one after another, people will start joining when they see like 10+ people are playing and 0 bots).

You have a point there juice. I just dont think BG has the activity to go without bots atm... So that is not an option right now imo. But maybe in the future hopefully . we want to change it for the best, but what that is is unclear. We will figure it out, thanks for your input!
