The problem is not really fixing the menu, but making people who download it use the new, updated version.
Afaik ET somehow always takes something like the "latest" version of those menus.
Letters in those filenames always have a certain "value", a higher value overpowering the lower value and therefore the file/menu with the higher value will be used by ET. Because ~ seems to be the highest value-letter and there is only so-and-so many letters available in naming a file, the current menu version (aka ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~.... etc.) is indeed the absolutely highest/most valueable filename.

So if we make a new menu, we have no way of making people use it because we can not name it anything that outpowers the current menu file. OFc you can (as mentioned in ur previous posts) remove ur old TWC menus and then use the new one, but guests dont know about this and it might be rly hard to explain to them why and how they have to change stuff in their ET folders.

This is why we are atm still looking for a better solution.

I guess only solution, is just to have the old TWC menus (a.k.a ~~~~~.pk3) to be deleted from etmain/jaymod folder and so on servers should also re-edit the menus by adding fixes in it.

Mimus is right, its also hard to inform guests/players to renew their ones also by replacing etc, and imo this problem may lead to confusion sometimes..

No no, we appreciate feedback like that. We were just trying to explain the situation from our point of view.

As I said, we will most likely replace the menu with an updated version. We'll figure out how to inform players about it, if they are using our menu in their etmain.

The problem is that you have to be able to inform visitors that they have to delete the old one, or they will get the checksum error
