Of course I've thought and pondered about the consequences, I usually do that with most comparable things. I will never ever do something major without consulting others, and I'm certain that Sam won't either.
Things just happened to fast in my opinion. I know, that 3/4 people of TWC are young guys and me too, but did you think about the consequences?
I am just scared what will happen in the future, becouse I don't want another frag server. Of course I am still thinking, that ND is a frag server, but like Djuki someday said, when there is lower amount of players it can be an obj server.
I am afraid, that in the future, we will add next map and next map and next map... And it will very change our server.
I know the changes are a bit difficult to people and then people just forget about this changes. But If it will happen, it will be impossibly hard to turn this server back to server like now..
I doubt whether it happened too fast. I gave it a lot of thoughts while cycling home from the city and it never occured to me that I should be afraid. Instead, I would rather choose to cherish the possibly little amount of time this server, and game has left. Trying to prolong the life of this server was the main objective, providing something "extra" might just as well keep people attracted a little longer. Note "extra", at its core there won't be any really drastic changes. So the fear of us adding tons of new maps should be non-existent. The settings will remain near-equal, except for some weaponlimit changes if proven necessary (and mapscripts). I'm glad you're raising awareness though.
I'm open for all suggestions
E: I'll look at the rules tomorrow afternoon
