Recruiting? I vote for have a mixed banner to, in maps and in console game, the design?? no idea but could be nice something included like a dptwc logo. Ip for the server and 2 www.net forums adress.

I am for a mixed/varied banner. As to the one popping up from time to time, we can discuss the content, but it's a good idea to have it reminding people that the server is shared by two clans. Both clans should have their presence known on the server.

So something along the lines of:

Welcome to |TWC| & dP Sniper Server ( or dP & |TWC| Sniper Server ;p )
Home of |TWC|Clan ...
...and...
...dP:Clan!
Visit our websites: links here blah blah

You get the idea.

We can let newbys to ask and choose for a tag, from my part is kinda something like hey look, we are twc and dp , and you are welcome in both, make your choice.. And visit both forums ...

Yup, that's what I was thinking.

I admit TWC got the advantage to get some frag servers so TWC can got members from various sources, or im wrong Madyy and DP run a frag server?
if not,, Dp is a Et dedicated sniper server , anyway i cant imagine Madmack with a Mortar Lol, haha, but if it Aim with the mortar like he do with the Garand , oh boy, heads down!!!!

We used to have a frag server, and I guess we were good at it - I don't know, never played in our frag team. We do have some frag players that play in leagues and stuff - but yea, if You want to know anything about dP:frag! - talk to WhiteSide. As to myself, I suck completely ;p
Used to play frag loong time ago - but since then, any traces of skill dissapeared. I can still be a panza noob thou!

But yes, TWC had that advantage of having more variety of players and different servers. Our advantage is that, even though we specialize only in sniping - we know every nook and cranny of it, and every dP member is a good sniper.

Overall, i dont see any problem, yes for some of you sounds weird, but i think it can be a good server, also most of the old sniper actives out there grow up , so some child scenarios arguing BS is not expected....not from my part.

We can certainly try to see, if a co-operation like that would work.
As to arguing BS - we all know nothing is perfect and always something happens. The idea is to deal with eventual problems in a right manner.

About the server name, can be Dp and TWC together or something new?? but with our clan tags in server?

There was a '545'n'kG Sniper Server before.
I think good idea would be to name it like: TWC'n'dP:Sniper! or dP'n'TWC Sniper - guess we can flip a coin which tag comes 1st haha.

Recruiting is for visitors a freedom to choose?

Well, they can choose for themselves which clan they want to be in.

Rules : no tweaking , no hacking, no weird cvars sc_aim etc...

That is obvious I think.

Crossing in maps?

I think we might have problem with some dP members, who are really used to crossing. I think after some explaining they will get used to new rules. For me - CROSSING NOT ALLOWED. Imagine being a new player, and you are getting killed the very moment you exit your spawn, because someone crossed and is aiming at your spawn exit doors. You would d/c from the server, right? We don't want that.

Only exception would be maps made fro crossing - baserace or those TWC maps that don't really have a side.

Weapons list? Grenades, smoke, ?? i remember in the early days in Dp we got smoke and grenades, terrific fun, and mg42 Rawwww.

Would be fun, but those weapons were used mostly for crossing -akimbo pistols etc.
Although, we did run a panzerwar from time to time with those crazy panzerfausts that were shooting like 40 rockets at a time shaped into a giant dP logo. Good times, good times.

Maps, I love AE but i dont like to be stuck there map after map. any other ideas?

AE is a must. I like the TWC version of it, due to portal doors preventing camping. Some other classic maps are a plus: OldSchool, Boat, Lake_Sniper, Warzone etc. - rest, we can add some of the UJE maps, as long as they are not completely impractical ( yes, I'm talking to you UJE_Underwater and your tendency to randomly clock my shots due to water! )

Language? freedom but dont offend others, i mean dont be a winker.

TWC has a profanity filter. dP was always "Say whatever you want".
I think we need to find a balance here. I say, that filter should come off, and swearing should be allowed - AS LONG AS - no one is heavily insulting one another.

Lvs, i like the Maddy idea about Xp and got some lvl for visitors, but who know?

LvL's and XP - well, I was thinking we should have higher levels reserver for members, moderators and admins - while first 5 levels lets say, should be reserved for visitors. These levels should be obtainable by 1) Being active and reaching EXP goals or 2) being active and contributing to the server. I would assume that prospect of getting a higher level would entice some players to hang around.


Any other points that should be addressed?
