This is actually a good idea for reviving sniper, not sure if it will work out at the current state of the game, but good luck with it.

It's not worst idea for sure... About tweaking we can always try to decrase capabilities to tweaks & add some 'supervision'
I have no objections against this idea & I hope it will go in right direction.

I find this proposal to be a very interesting and promising development.

As apparently on both sides (Sniper) member activity itself has lowered this will/might encourage TWC and dP (Sniper) members to become more active (again) because you'll be guaranteed at least two sources of motivated players. Pitting these TWC and dP members against eachother or rather make them play together standardly will hopefully once again rise the excitement and challenge for the (Sniper) members of each of our clans respectfully. I'm pretty sure this way you'll increase the chance of there "always" being Sniper members online and giving the new Sniper server a more permanent inhabited look. Bluntly put I mean that the first focus of a cooperation like this could/should be to get like about min. 4 Sniper members, of either clan, online at "any" moment.

Manage this, or something equally and realistically good, first and you'll maximize the attractivity for guests and optimise the probability of them becoming regulars. Even managing it for only a while until you've noticed that you've been getting regular guests might work as they'd replace or add to the effect of their always being SNiper members from either clan online.

This might've been an obvious "two cents" from my side but this is how I see it for you guys

Hey there,

I see this idea is getting positive feedback. I feel like it might just work.
I've talked to some people from dP and they also seem to be interested in the idea.

@Ligustah:
I mentioned half-payment, since I don't want it to seem like dP ( or TWC ) is leeching off one another. If you have a machine set up, and are up to hosting - it is certainly a possibility. I guess we have to figure it out.

We should have that group chat, just to talk over few things.

And we need to resolve other issues - since 2 clans share a server, how would recruiting work?
From dP standpoint - we came up with: Each clan presents a short bio and a player can choose whatever he likes. ( No fighting for recruits though, they can choose themselves. )

Any other issues?

About recruting: for me there should be some other recruitment rulez, but it's not only my choise.

We can let newbys to ask and choose for a tag, from my part is kinda something like hey look, we are twc and dp , and you are welcome in both, make your choice.. And visit both forums ... I admit TWC got the advantage to get some frag servers so TWC can got members from various sources, or im wrong Madyy and DP run a frag server?
if not,, Dp is a Et dedicated sniper server , anyway i cant imagine Madmack with a Mortar Lol, haha, but if it Aim with the mortar like he do with the Garand , oh boy, heads down!!!!

Overall, i dont see any problem, yes for some of you sounds weird, but i think it can be a good server, also most of the old sniper actives out there grow up , so some child scenarios arguing BS is not expected....not from my part.

About the server name, can be Dp and TWC together or something new?? but with our clan tags in server?

Recruiting is for visitors a freedom to choose?

Rules : no tweaking , no hacking, no weird cvars sc_aim etc...
Crossing in maps?
Weapons list? Grenades, smoke, ?? i remember in the early days in Dp we got smoke and grenades, terrific fun, and mg42 Rawwww.
Maps, I love AE but i dont like to be stuck there map after map. any other ideas?
Language? freedom but dont offend others, i mean dont be a asshole.
Lvs, i like the Maddy idea about Xp and got some lvl for visitors, but who know?
