Dudes, as I remember nothing bad was reported last year, when some minimod/skins were added to ND - so a minimod cannot be problem, though Antho made the stuff, so he will remeber it well I think. Some megs of download take only a few seconds and you have to wait for that only at first time, as you know.
Moreover as some non-classic maps are running on ND, I would say, you could try the same with Xmas Fueldump and/or Xmas Goldrush. if you decide for any of such maps, of course you might have to make some modifications in maps like securing garage on Xmas Fueldump, setting fences etc.
These Xmas maps look really cute, they make a charming atmosphere during game, with Xmas songs and sounds being played, so do not miss it I tell ya.

But should you not decide for maps then you can still visit us on Vietnam, where we will be waiting for you with tons of nice Xmas stuff like maps and skins, flying snowmen as mortar ammo and snowball grenades sticked in your b.u.tt and so :P !

wouldn't recommend switching to xmas maps though, i think they'll be mostly disliked by the visitors and scare them away :/
also they will be huge loads of megabytes to download, it's beyond the acceptable amount for a ND server imo
and like you said butcher, if people want to play those maps they could always go to vietnam (could perhaps have an xmas event there )

I am not saying only about downloading, becouse it's not problem for the most of players.
I actually mean about amount of bugs, which appear, when the modpack is installed. It also make server more "heavier", becouse there are more graphics, colours - they all take a role in making server more laggy.

I don't very mean this modpack - but are there some ways to reduce, written by me, problems?

You can create an christmas event with xmas maps, but just for 1 or 2 days?
Events are always fun, and I miss having events at other servers than Panzerwar.
