To all the TWC members and friends who showed up to the TWC Meeting.

I was saddened to hear that only a handful out of the 16 or so who promised to go showed up.

So to those of you who did, I personally want to thank you. I hear it was a good time. Imagine actually meeting some one you have played with days on end from behind your PC and actually getting a chance to put a face with the username you have come to be good friends with.

I only wish I could have been a part of it. Since day one, I have only ever been able to imagine what it would be like to come face to face with the members I have come to consider my family away from home.

Joint. Mimus. Xenaluci and Lig. It would have been a dream come true to actually shake your hands and take you into my arms for a huge bear hug. And ofc to make fun of someones new hair cut :P

A really BIG thumbs up goes to an ex member who somehow talked his parents into buying him an expensive plane ticket to meet people he has never met before. He came all the way from Estonia just to meet the people he has called friends for so long now...

Thor you have always been an exceptional one and now your parents are high on my list. They deserve an Outstanding Award. They can be the first parents to get one, just as you were the first member to earn the award. "High Five" to Thors parents!!

It was great meeting you people, and I feel really bad about not being able to stay longer and eat the spaghetti damn it! But I say sleeping together in one big tent (or on the same mat, yourdog? wut?), is a bigger bonding experience than playing ET together for so many hours! Next round of beers will be on me (since I missed a drunk Mimus, sad face!)

SO like, everybody seems to know i was a bit....more happy than usual, here is a summary of our meeting ofc its more or less ligs and mine point of view, would be great if others also add their experiences^^

Well, lig and mine day was starting at around 3am, driving from my parents home to Amsterdam, picking up thor.

We thought we might be there at the airport at around 10am, so we said, since his flight arrived at 8am, were gonna meet at starbucks. BUT we ddnt make a break, so we managed to be at Schiphol right before his flight arrived! We were standing there, waiting for THor with our BIG SIGN!


And we were waiting....and waiting...and waiting....drinking coffee...and waiting some more...


In the end, we were looking for THor for like 3 hours, running around the airport. Unfortunately there were 2!!!!!!!!! starbucks, and as we found out later, we somehow managed to always miss each other when running from one starbucks to another xD we finally found him at Burger King, because he sent us an email when we were like 20kms away from schiphol (the idea was to try to reach him and then oick him up, but while waiting we go to the camping spot to meet the others). EMail text was like: IM still at the airport, im lost. Need help plox! xD

In the end, we were at the camping spot like 2 hours later than planned, yourdog and uzero already waiting :P We got to the spot, and there was a huuuuge meadow - all ours we set up a really nice tent, like one big room for all of us^^


While waiting for more people to come, we were basically chilling and our "real men" made the bbq - and had some really "manly" fun with flowers :P

Food was great, we had sausages and different kinds of meat and...cheese and Mimi learned some new words "Kaas keren" - so whenever you need to turn sth, call me We were all teamworking a lot, not only when "Keering" something. Let me give the greatest example
Its a tent, on a meadow with a tarp - so basically, bugs and spiders and snails and everything else crouchy and tiny can get in. BUT we had a hammer! and we USED IT! If there was a bug, we were just like: "bug" and right away the hammer popped up so we smashed, in teamwork, like hundreds of bugs! KILLING SPREE! MULTIKILL!

Like at 10pm, Joint and Xena were coming and staying at least Xena, over night^^ We went to the harbour and back - watching mosquitos...
While Lig, Thor and MImus were sleeping, Joint, Xena and Yourdog had a lot of fun chatting - but i cant tell ya anything about it, since they were talking dutch^^ but afaik the did not talk about aardbeien.

ALthough some of us stayed up like till 4am, we were all awake pretty early - because of the tent. <<<it was raining. not like outside...inside! water was dripping from the inside, right into our faces. WHat a nice way to wake up >.<*

SOme of us made it to a nearby supermarket, and for breakfast we had french toast and Xena&Thor also lost their french-toast-virginities

Later that day, around lunch time, Xena and Uzero had to go and....MOANRAKER came We went to the beach, made a twc sign in the sand, buried lig and burned mimus. Ohhh yeah, and like covered our food with sand....mmmmh crunchy banana bread and cookies^^

But nvm the banana bread, we had spaghetti and sauce that evening while webcam-chatting with a bunch of members :P (btw, who was the one saying our tent looks like a hippie-camp? :O)
ANd we also fed the ground with noodles because.....the ground was hungry! for sure :X

After our meal joint was coming.....and thats the part where i have to step out^^ Because EVIL JOINT gave us beer and bacardi, and POOR MIMUS tried it with coke - then poor mimus seemed to have a lot of fun, although she cannot remember a lot - only things like...flowers...bunnies with cake....sunburns....and a rope on the ground to walk on (ddnt work straight)

Seems like Joint vanished, just like Moanraker did earlier that evening. ANd Friday morning, LIg and YOurdog packed the stuff together and unbuilt the tent, while mimus was sitting in the grass trying not to die from sunburn or headache Conclusion: Never let joint talk u into sth :P


All in all, although we only were a handful of people, it was AWESOME! And i wouldnt change anything. Ill never forget this first of all TWC Meetings - and we are already planning the next. Maybe Eislemeer, or somewhere in east europe? We will see - although you will have to deal with more strict plannings (im not gonna run after all of you for months again and then sit at the camping spot waiting for people who dont even tell me they wont come anymore)

I had money trouble too. Plane was a bit too expensive and couldn't find any direct line with train from Ljubljana (capital city of Slovenia).

I would defenetly like to come. Maybe next meeting in germany? :P

I really feel bad that I couldn't attend because I went on a holiday (I didn't promise I'd come though, don't worry). After all those years I really not only wanted to put a face on the username, but also wanted to put an in real life personality to it.

Hopefully we can do this again anytime in the future!

Ill tell my expierence of the meeting =D
Well i arrived around 11:00 and i had no idea who was coming and when since i was on a holiday before in the netherlands so i went to the reception to get an internet pass and finded ligs number texted him and he was coming in an hour and yourdog was already there but i didn't see him only he"s car but after like 2 minutes there he was the first TWC member i met irl life it was a great expierence and then we waited hours passed by and finally 2-3hours late mimi lig and thor arrived then we went to our spot where we gonna sleep and it was Huge!! then we started setting op the tent what wasn't that easy as it looked but after like 30 minutes we managed to put it up and then we just started chilling like mimus said and after some time Joint and Xeena came we had alot of fun walking to the beach etc and had some nice talks
and the day after had some bad news from home so i had to leave what i really regret =( but all in all it was a very fun expierence and the next meeting i will join aswell =D
And a special thanks for mimus for putting so much effort in organising this meeting!
And ofcourse to Lig,Yourdog?THor,Xeena and Joint i
