Clan Update June 2015

Hya,

there are some new things that we want to inform you about, so we thought we will just make one Update Thread for all the things, instead of having several threads that lead to a big confusion

1. Url-Shortcuts

For some time already we are experiencing guests and also members asking for things like threads or sections commonly used in forum. An Example: A guest on ND wants to know how to apply. People have to explain him in several tiny steps how to do that (go to forum, search the application section, choose the server, make a new thread etc.etc.). That is quite a complicated way. Ofc you could just copy the URL of the ND applications INTO ET, but you can not copy OUT of ET -> no use for the guest. He would need to type the looooong URL by hand.

Solution: Lig worked on some Url-Shortcuts for certain threads/sections etc. that are often used, like the application sections, the rules, the complaint section etc. They look like this:

So basically we have /join (for all servers), /rules (for all servers), /complain (for guests), /member-complain (for members), /servers (for a list of our servers) and /banproof (for the banproof section).

This would be "goto" for shortcut, then our Website (twcclan.org) and after the / there is the actual name of whatever the site you will go to is (this might be a number, but a name that tells you what it is is easier, right? :P)

2. Moving the forum

You all know the forum is a bit slow atm (since its running on a free, but tiiiiiny server). Unfortunately we are still fiddling a bit with the backups, so it will take a little longer to move the forum than expected.

We will keep you updated about this.

3. Donators

Atm in TWC we do have 2 Donators levels on all servers (Junior with commands like a normal member would have and Senior with admin commands). A TWC Donator can be set Donator in any TWC Server, usually Jr. in most servers and Sr. OR Jr. in his home server (depending on which level he would have on the server if he wouldnt be donator aka. member or admin).

Donationship atm does not have a time restriction, so basically everyone who once donates 0,01,€ could be donator forever. This already lead to quite a bit of confusion and smaller complaints, since it was unclear e.g. if someone who donated a year ago should still be called donator, and if someone who rejoins is to be set normal member or donator because he was donator before he left etc.

This is why we decided to reduce the amount of time someone is Donator to 3 months,

Moreover, the Donator will from now on lose the donator rank after leaving the Clan (so rejoiners will not be set Donator automatically).

Loved your idea about shortening URLs for Visitors to join !! That's pretty amazing and it will be much more easier to communicate with players who wants to join TWC with the help of these url shortcuts , can't wait for these changes to happen ^^.

About the forums I still didn't understand what was going on but hopefully we'll wait for ur info/decision about it.
