Hi,

as all of you have probably noticed by now the forum has become quite slow lately, especially at peak usage times. That is because it is running on a really poorly equipped server, which I used because I got it free of charge as a long term customer at our old host.
In the past the server would be just powerful enough to run the forum decently at most times, however, as of recently we've seen some increase in usage, which was just enough to tip the scales.

I will be moving the forum to a new server throughout this week. I'll need to do some preparation work before this can happen, the actual move however shouldn't cause any considerable downtime (something like 5-10mins, if all goes well).

I'll announce the exact time as soon as I know it.

I'm quite busy, so unless it's a quick thing or really urgent I am unlikely to be able to answer PMs throughout the week, but I try to reach out to everyone who contacted me during the weekends. If it's urgent, you can also contact any of the supremes, they can do a lot of things or relay directly to me if necessary.

No, it tends to get very slow towards the evening, when more people are online.
After all, the server running it has less than 256 MB RAM.
I'm quite busy, so unless it's a quick thing or really urgent I am unlikely to be able to answer PMs throughout the week, but I try to reach out to everyone who contacted me during the weekends. If it's urgent, you can also contact any of the supremes, they can do a lot of things or relay directly to me if necessary.

Yes, it's true. Sometimes I can't use forum, it's very slow I must visit it after few minutes. I thought it was my problem.
