Hello all,

The facts are this is a 20 year old Game, and its dying we know that.
Snipers Roster isnt what is was, the same for Panzerwar..

In my opinion this game is just to have fun, with the people i like to play with, and if i see what we do these days most of us just like to hang out having some fun etc.. Play on the servers where the most people are no matter what server

So ZoneElax and I Have an Idea : What if we can manage to unite Sniperwars & Panzerwar into One.

A few options :

1 we can combine the Rosters and make 1 New section for example SW & PW server With a new colour. and make 1 server instead of 2 different servers.

2 Only combine the Roster we can do a new Colour aswel but the servers keep separated.

In my opinion i think this is great because we have something New. and Everyone likes new things

if we do 1 mixed server, i think there will be alot of people on that server visitors and for TWC there are more people on the roster playing in 1 server as a team.

For the Rankings etc, i think this wont be problem since we are all adults and we can manage to get a full new roster where everyone is happy with there place on it.

For maps we can do some type of Events like monday sniper tuesday panzer, Or give people an option to vote, i think this wont be a problem aswel.

In overall : I think something new is great and give people a motivation to play. Specialy if we have a full roster with alot of people playing on the server. Even a new TWC colour will make people curious and join the server to see what its about. And it will help PW's And SW's Roster aswell whole TWC to be in a full server and having a great time! Unite Is the key.

I guess combining the roster wouldn't be a bad idea, but you should definetly keep 2 different servers. These game modes are eniterly different from eachother, and should be kept seperate.

zone actually asked me about this idea not too long ago but i think its a bad idea firstly because merging the servers would be really akward. a server could switch between panzerwar and sniperwar (with !panzerwar on and !sniperwar on respectively) but then what if you have players wanting to play panzerwar when the server is on sniperwar? those commands are too abusable for normal members therefore only a supreme or HA should be able to change it therefore you would need them to be more active. like lanttu said they are different servers and should be kept seperated.
as for merging the roster with a new color, it would be confusing because members (like myself) have gotten so used to the color palette of sniper and panzerwar being pink and black respectively that changing that would be weird for a while. also because sniperwar and panzerwar are 2 completely different gamemodes, the roster would naturally divide itself into panzerwar players and sniperwar players. in other words, not everyone who plays on sniper is going to like panzerwar and not everyone who likes panzerwar is going to like sniper. this divide would cause such a roster to be less stable then if it was apart, kinda like quality (the members interest of the game) over quantity (amount of members in the roster)

i think its much more practical to so some events/tournaments for both servers if you aim on increasing the activity. i already thought about a 1v1 tournament system where the players who are dueling do (a maximum of) 5 rounds of first to ten kills wins and then the loser of that round picks the next map for the next round and does another 1v1 duel there. both player repeat this until one of the player wins 3 maps. another way to think about this is a first to 10 and best of 5 (maximum of 5 maps played since it doesnt matter if you win 3 you win altogether but both players could win twice and therefore it would be 2-2 until whoever wins the final map) and the first map would be a map where both players agree together to start the duel on. this system could be used casually at any point by any two players at any time, no need for a week of arranging things

I already proposed a similar idea back then, only with all servers?
Other communities make it with 1 member base?
After all, we are not that active members anymore.

Why don't we leave these colors and everyone can choose their own.

You could then try to redesign the level system.

The high admins stay as they are (only now only 1 high admin team)

The members get the level they have on each server (no more home servers)

Maybe this idea will go down well with one or the other.

Hey,

At first I thought this would be a great idea, but now that I have slept on it, I am not so sure anymore. The biggest concern is the question how would we merge two teams together, both pretty different type of game style and bringing two forum threads together would create additional chaos. Like Lanttu and Thrasher stated, teams as they are should be kept seperated. However, I do believe that new color would bring some people's attention. Despite being used to have pink tags for Sniper, I would like to see some color changes, we have the same colors for more than 10 years now, don't you think it's a bit dull? I do. Also I kinda find it ironic to have the most girly and flashing color for sniper who are known for their stealth :P A more subtle color would be the right choice. Anyways, that's only my point of view, we are all different. So don't take it personally.

Why we dont can be choose own colours for tag but let be the memberbase?

Just 1- no colur from other memberbase.. (any other colour is allowed)

I love the idea!

Why not just make a snanzer server with a mapcycle that alternates between mods? Its not that different and i most certainly wouldnt be against it!

I think its not that difficult to pull off to change the mod every map.

Maybe even add a knife war in between to?

Sniper - Panzer - Sniper - Panzer - Knife and start over.

We should have more people who'd come up with ideas like this!!

And whats the worst thing that could happen? That we have to go back to two servers again? Dont think we have a huge fanbase in sniper or panzer right now anyway, in my opinion it can only get more
