No Download Changing NoDownload

Since NoDownload hasn't really been "NoDownload" in a long time, could we potentially change the server by adding a bigger map pool and potentially even changing the server name to "-TWC|Recruiting|XPS" ? Servers like FA and ETc have a ton of daily guests, and im sure its mostly due to a variety of maps. Would like to hear what others think about this subject / suggestion.

Personally I dont mind playing the same maps that ND currently has, since most of them are pretty good gameplay wise, but some variety or change of pace would be nice.

Around 2012 Nd was changed to NowD , that is now download by John with various maps added , it didn't bring any change to its activity , it was same as before

Sorry if am wrong here or my opinion does not count because i am not a member of this server but i hope i can express my opinion

I think the opinion of changing the server is good but not in this way. The "No download" server should be what it is, what it is called! Or you can rename it as lanttu said and just change everything. In my opinion you should live up to the name - either a real "NO download" server or you just change everything. I and many others act the same when choosing a server -> is there "no download" or "beginners" then i expect exactly that. With Sniper it is nothing else, or Panzerwar, or...

If i find something else, i don't feel like it anymore.

The server isn't popular right now, changing it couldn't make it worse.

problem is mostly there's to many servers for the amount off people playing enemy territory.
and if you do wanna play ET, people must know to start the game with admin rights (at least i have to) then every server you need to download , and all servers have diffrent mods
nitmod jaymod nq etpub legacy etc.

what you can try is take your least active server and the most popular mod right know ( nitmod ? legacy? donno for sure) and you can try what lanttu suggesting . then nodownload stays how it is right now. if it works u can combine some servers but thats up to you .

just giving you guys suggestions, you do what you want with it :-) .

Most arguments in this thread are invalid, since the server isn't "No Download" to begin with. NoDownload means exactly that, NO DOWNLOAD (REQUIRED).

The server is not no download if you have maps like Venice (20Mb map btw) on the server. (Or any custom maps besides the original 6)

So I agree, change name and add moar maps. Or just add more maps and keep the name, it attracts some players. Then again this might be considered as a shady practice but idc personally.
