Zombies
#11
Well I love that idea! I'd say this is pretty unique and well worth a try. As DarkMyst already mentioned, the amount of servers in TWC doesn't seem to be a problem - and this would actually be a server where it's fine having only bots! Like the perfect choice for a dead game (not to mention the fitting connection to zombies Wink)

I personally would definitely try the server and also play on it, at least for some time. Even if it doesn't get very popular, who cares, no one got hurt. We would only need to find someone setting up that server and keeping it maintained.

Well, this mod is unique, because a simple mapcycle is enough to make it attractive. Zombies are always looking for fresh meat. They will never stop, they will hunt every human sooner or later.

Anyway, if you would like to try it, you can host your own LAN server, after you placed the mod folder in your Wolfenstein ET folder. It is a kind of single player game. And last man standing is one of the best gametype for this mod: 10v1 is really entertaining. You can change a lot of settings in game menu (like weapons damage/recoil etc.). As you can see the video: I changed the damage of shotgun and colt, so I can blast a zombie with a well placed headshot Smile

If you would like to know more details about this modification, just post a reply in this thread.

Hello!

We're currently discussing the idea of a server cycle.

I'll explain a little further ;; The idea is to cycle servers between offline and online, 3 of them to be precise. Sniper , Vietnam , Hide&Seek (Or infected / zombie)

You may wonder now, vietnam?? Well yes. I've had contact with Butcher recently and he's given up on playing since september, he's still managing the server the best he can but he's lost interest in playing the game itself.

Although we ''open'' 3 servers. These 3 will all be without a memberbase. Meaning it's a server ran by the current supremes only and no further admins. Just fun to play on so to speak without having to join since opening up new servers in the current state of ET is a big gamble and might further decrease the activity in our current servers.

What do you all think of this idea?

Plans, ideas everywhere, but the decision is yours. I came back to show you some type of "exotic" game modifications. I was curious, so I asked you about a new server, that would run under bobot-zm mod. I just wanted to know, how many players would play on this server (or are they interested in this mod).

To be honest, I am really curious about the future of ET and this clan, because this "server cycle" is a brand new idea.

So only supremes would be able to manage servers, servers without memberbase. But if you lose a supreme (inactivity and/or leaving), how would you get an other one? A supreme should be a previously recruited member/admin, or am I wrong? I will not query your decisions, it is just simple curiousity... Smile

Heeeeey, .

This idea is just dope. BUT.

Running zombies isn't like that funny. They are pretty resistant.
In order to make the game more difficult than it is, I would be glad to slow us (not zombies), by desactivating double-jump, making a script to make us walk slower...
Relative supplies such as ammo needs to be rare;
OBJ maps (where humans only can interact) would be awesome too.

The video is just a short demonstration: I changed the (basic) weapons damage, recoil, speed and doublejump to make the gameplay faster. However, I can turn this whole game into a nightmare to make it more terrifying Evil This mod allows you to change a lot of settings, so you are able to set up 10 different servers with this modification.

Sounds like a great idea and a good solution to manage the "dead" servers. And I'd be very much in favour of including the bobot mode that Warden introduced here into that kind of cycle.
