Solved GTK Radiant Shader problems

Hello Guys and Girls!

After my rejoin app I tried to continue my fav hobby: making maps. There wasn't any problem when I used GTK radiant 1.6 on Win 7, however Win 10 sux very hard, when it comes to making maps. There wasn't any difference between the installation and setup: all of the folders and directories are perfect.

When I run radiant and make a brush I get that certain blue-black "texture" with the sign "Shader not found"...ok...I start using caulk selection and when I toggle textures window: it is empty. I checked all of the possibilities of wrong directories, refreshed all of them, but the folder is still empty. (However I have at least 70 images in texture folder with .tga extension. (I tried to convert them to an other supported format, but it was just waste of time). Well...I visited some of these tutorial sites to find the solution, but most of them describes only the basic steps...

edit: switching versions of radiant didn't solve the problem.

Maybe some of u could help me. Any helpful comment is appreciated

I think I had the same problem when I installed the new Windows 10, however I'm not sure how I managed to change it. Perhaps you have to add permission from Administrator before you can move anything or make paths. Also I had to download all 'Common' (clip, caulk, ladder) textures, because they didn't work as needed.

Oh thanks for ur answer Zone. I wasn't thinking about administrator permissions tbh. but I'll surely try it.

Ye could be a permission or UAC thing(run as admin), Windows 10 significantly updated its system protection and can be a headache sometimes.

Yes Guys u're right...I solved the problem yesterday, but I forgot to post it. I've given some permissions and ran the software as administrator. So I have everything to make a new map, but unfortunately I can't save it I'm sure I have to give more permission...Thank u for helping me out

I have the same problem actually, I can save them and open any map I want (in GTK), but when I go to the actual ET folder I cannot see any of the saved maps, so I have to search them (they're usualy stocked somewhere in temporary files).

Well...I've made 2 smaller maps in the past, but not for PW games, so I might ask ur opinion about some stuff in the future, if it's not prob.
