W:ET In-Game binding guide
#1
Binding is used to bind key on your keyboard to make certain text.
Text can be colored with letters or numbers. Its much faster to tap letter to make "Hello!" text than trying to find it from voicechat.
Im showing binding the way you can do it In-Game, but binds are possible to make in your cfg but its harder and you need some knowledge about cfg's before trying it that way. All binds you make will be saved in your profile cfg.

How to make simple keybind?

Heres explain about the following bind parts:

List of original voices that can be used in your voicechat bind:

NOTE: BIND ONLY KEYS WHAT YOU DONT HAVE ALREADY BINDED!
(Function keys are good for bindings)

Open your console and type following (example about voicechat):
/bind i vsay hello Hello everybody!
Now when you tap "i" button, it will say "hello" and text appears: "Hello everybody!"

TO UNBIND ANY KEY, WRITE THIS IN CONSOLE: /unbind (key)

You can also make colors in your bindings, colors can be made by adding ^ letter front of your text, after you add number or letter, it becomes colored and you can type colored text.

Heres all colors you can use:

There are also shortcuts you can add to your bind text, example last one who killed you, last one you killed, your HP amount and etc. Example [k] shows you last one you killed. Letters will change the shortcut purpose.
Heres list of all letters you can add between parentheses:

[a] - last person who gave you ammo
[d] - last person who killed you
[h] - last person who gave you health
[k] - last person you killed
[l] - your current location
[n] - your name
[r] - last person who revived you
[p] - teammate you are pointing at
[s] - your health
[w] - weapon you are currently holding
[t] - ammo for current weapon

Many players want to know the reload bind, always you reload, it shows text that others know you are reloading. Also in this you can make your own text and add [w] so they know what weapon you are holding.

Here is example how to do reload bind:
NOTE: ALWAYS REMEMBER THE QUOTES, WITHOUT THEM BIND WONT WORK!
/bind r say IM RELOADING MY [w] ";+reload;-reload"

Now next time you reload your MP40 (or any other weapon) it says:
IM RELOADING MY MP40

So thats pretty much it, I'm sure I forgot to say something, but if someone have to fix my guide, comment below! Smile

Guide isn't about binding though, it's about vsays and reloading.
Quote placement isn't wrong at your bind, but it's nice to format it properly though:
Code:
/bind r "say Reloading!; +reload; -reload"
Or, for the fancy guys:
Code:
/bind r "vsay Holdfire Reloading!; +reload; -reload"

Binding over already bound keys unbinds these and rebinds these with the latter bind you did.

List of the vsay's you noted is not complete: Vsays like EscortVehicle, but also FTAttack are available too.

Please, rereading my reply, I came to the conclusion this could be taken offensive. Please, do not, since I'm only trying to help Smile Finally someone took the effort to make a tut about ingame guiding (John made some CFG tuts).

Thanks for comment, I have edited my keybind guide and added more original voices you can use in your voicechat bind. But as I said, my guide shows how to bind keys to show text, voices, colors and shortcuts. I think in this case you meant bindings for commands? Smile
Reload bind is showed in my guide easiest way you can make it, but there are many ways to do it.
If you have something to say or ask, comment! Smile

Thanks, for editing :P

Binding isn't only voice texts though, it's also commands. So, your GUID is in fact about text binding :P

About reloading, your bind is correct indeed, but, since what you want to bind to a key, would be formatted between the quotes. You'd bind the say part, the +reload and the -reload part to R. So it would be
Code:
/bind r "say Reloading!; +reload; -reload"
.

Again, thanks! Nice tut
