Outsider opinion, but been playing a lot past weeks so I can offer my 2 cents.

Transmitter itself is fine, but I think overrall rotation is too short at the moment. Most of the maps (even the more popular) get "Load Next" voted at times for some reason, maybe because people played that map twice already during day and don't want to play it again. Just add a few more maps and people are fine with it.

Marrakech Streets, Supply Depot, Adlernest, Caen, Bremen, Frostbite are all playable even 12v12. And they're some of the most beloved maps for over 10 years.

Also, often times after midnight there are like 10-12 active players doing 5v5, which makes Fuel Dump, Transmitter etc. really annoying, and smaller maps could help with that. Of course this is not the most important thing but it is a nice plus and makes for a better server.

PS: "If you want other maps, go play BG" is not really valid, NoD is the only active server.

What happens when those maps that are smaller like Supply, get 15v15/16v16, overcrowding and spawn trapping. Bad idea

Good points, mew. The only thing that keeps us from adding more custom maps is it doesn't fit the 'NoDownload' part

Excuse me mew.. Bg is still alive as other twc servers. And has very good selection of custom maps and you forgot to mention nq which has good map rotation also... And for your suggestions of maps mew supply,bremen,adler etc wont work with over 15 players! And imo there shouldnt be any custom maps in nd.

BG is alive how? It got 10+ players once during past month, and I think that was a clan meet-up.



You're greatly overestimating NoD playercount too. Only once during past month it has reached this 15v15 you're talking about. Also those maps have been played 15v15 for the past 10 years, how they're suddenly unplayable? A bit chaotic maybe, but it's fine balance with larger maps remaining in rotation. They're perfectly playable 12v12, which is the most common playercount the server gets every day. If once in a blue moon NoD gets 30+ players then people can just opt to play larger maps if the smaller ones are a problem.



And furthermore, NoD already has custom maps like Transmitter and Pirates. NoDownload as a term is just outdated relic from early days when people actually had trouble downloading custom maps and mods and hasn't meant literally not downloading stuff for years.

NoQuarter is just dead.
