Steam problem (archived by NightFall)
#1
Hey

Recently I have a problem with my Steam. Few weeks ago a new update for PAYDAY2 came out and I started installing it. It stopped at 99% and it won't go any further. I got the same situation with Counter Strike: Global Offensive - it stopped at about 94% and no way it's going to move.

I reinstalled both games - nothing.
I reinstalled whole Steam. And something horrible happened. After I reinstalled Steam my first game to download again was my beloved Team Fortress 2. And the same situation with CS:GO and PAYDAY2 happened. I don't know what is happening.
If you have any questions which may help solving this problem, don't hestitate and ask.
Thanks
Duka

lol

Tbh dunno how to fix your issue with steam.IMO best you'd search on steam forums about a fix for this

First, did you try clicking on game in library with right click -> propeties -> local files -> verifiy integrity of game cache?

Then would try to uninstall steam and every game with revo uninstaller (it will remove registry files also). Then try reinstalling. If that doesn't work, then search for solution on steam forums (as slasher said)

I had same issue with csgo it fixed when i restarted my modem.

Thanks guys, but neither your help nor searching through forums solved my problem. I'll try to write a separate thread on a Steam forum, this is my last hope.
But remember this thread is not dead - you can still post here and any help is very appreciated.

Thanks again

My friend was this same problem as you. You have to delete some registry key (I don't remember now what key). Probably you have little mess in your computer. You can try also delete clientregistry.blob from steam folder and install the newest verion of Microsoft .NET Framework. The best and simplest kind to solve this problem is... format c: Biggrin

Can you tell me where exactly is the clientregistry file?

I am installing the newest version of .NET(4.6.2), but I have 4.6.1 - is this a noticable difference?

The .NET version shouldn't be the problem, here's the blob file
PS: What are your PC specs? Especially HDD/SSD?

I don't have this file in my Steam folder. Look.

7,93 GB RAM
64-bit Operating System
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960

This is getting ridiculous - CS:GO and GTA: Vice City has finished downloading and they won't start. I am going to try Adwcleaner.
