Summer Meeting 2016 - What happened
#1
Heart
Summer Meeting 2016

This year the summer meeting differed quite a bit from the ones before. First of all, it was in Germany rather than in the Netherlands.
Also, to make up for the very short meeting last time and ofc to offer everyone several days to choose from, the meeting 2016 lasted for about 2 full weeks from 14. July until the 28. July.
There were a lot of people asked and invited all over the servers. Even the EA clan aswell as the ETC clan were offered to join it. However, from the about 30 people who wanted to come in the end less than half did actually show up. But you know what? That doesnt matter at ALL Biggrin The meeting was still super-duper-hyper-awesome. All days were fun, the weather was good (no drowning in the rain this time, hooray!), there was lots of games and food and drinks.

It all started with Lig and me travelling to the Meeting spot close to Bremen, Germany. The house is quite big, it used to be 2 apartments and belongs to his parents who use it as a summer house / vacation house.
The trip from Berlin was alright, car already quite full with stuff though. After a stop at my parents to check up on my little brother who for the first time in his life spent a week home alone (shoutout to my bro who just WASNT EVEN THERE at all when his big sister came over to see if everything is alright xD) which included some more stuffing the car with lots of things, we went on to the meeting house where we arrived on the 13. July.

The next day was started with a lot of baking and preparing the house from my side, while lig went on to Diepholz to pick up Megaslow who arrived there after a reaaaaally long trip from Slovenia. Everyone who was reading the Whatsapp group at that time already knew there were some struggles with Hruby who was supposd to come with Mega, though after Mega arrived at the meeting spot the whole story was told in detail.

The two guys had their phone numbers exchanged and actually were pretty much planned with how when and where to meet (McDonalds, yay!). However, after MegaSlow was there at the planned time, there was no Hruby in sight. Waiting for 4 hours, buying random McDonalds items to not look like a bum sitting in the restaurant without ordering (coffee, hamburger, more coffee, softdrinks….), looking out of the windows like a weirdo and ultimatively actually missing his designated bus is what followed. No message from Hruby whatsoever, and no reaction to calls and an sms.
Luckily for Mega, he did still get a bustrip to Munich – in a bus which was supposed to just let some people out at the train station and then move on without picking people up. But which busdriver could withstand a Megaslow running straight in front of the bus, arms spread wide, luggage pulling after him, desperately shouting to be picked up?

The tour itself was not all that comfortable though. New bus means no assigned seat, and a full bus means loooots of people who not always smell the best, or are the most quiet. Changing the travel method in Munich from bus to train did mean more space, however the food was not the best (dafuq, sandwich with cheese AND soaked in mayo?)

Arriving in Bremen, Mega found himself in a town which did not yet catch up with international needs. Signs? German. People? Speaking german mostly aswell. Newsboards? German. Shoutouts? GERMAAAN. Trying to find the station where his next step of the trip would depart, Mega in the end just followed a crowd of people hoping to, as some guys explained to him, he would sooner or later arrive where people usually go to when they want to travel on from Bremen to other towns. Meh though, the first arrival was at the subway --- it still took some more tries and failures until he finally arrived in Diepholz, where Lig was waiting to pick him up.

Having Mega at the meeting spot was really nice. Ofc since he was the first he could choose whichever room he wanted. There were, apart from the bedroom lig and I already chose (a bed where the second person actually has to crouch over the other one to get into was nothing we wanted to offer to guests Biggrin), 3 more bedrooms with 2 beds each and 1 single-bed bedroom. Megaman decided to not have to climb up the admittedly creaky and kinda whacky stairs every night in order to go to bed and chose the one room that was downstairs, with the biggest doublebed and a beautiful sight into the...frontlawn. Alas, the village is small so he wasnt bothered by any cars other people peeking into the room in the morning.
We had some really nice potatoe-gratin and spent a gaming evening with mario kart and other stuff on the steam controllers (and tbh a lot of figuring-out how to actually make all these consoles work xD). And snaaaacks. Talking chocolate and chips and muffins Biggrin

Next morning, the day the meeting was actually supposed to begin, Nirv arrived at the meeting spot. Well, actually a french car arrived, stopping at the neighbours house, with a confused guy exiting it who then stood there for several minutes, scratching his head trying to find out which house is the right one while totally ignoring the huuuuge red banner on one of the fences with the text “MEETING 2016 <3 TWC”, until finally one door opened and he was invited into the house. Sure enough, when asked to choose a bedroom our french gourmet took the just recently renovated room with the big wooden bed. What he did not know at that moment though was that the side of the house he choose would be in the bright sun every morning and the curtains were just normal ones, and no blackout-curtains. The rest of the meeting he spent every time we were at the supermarket etc. with looking out for sleeping masks Biggrin None were found.

After lots of getting to know each other and playing games like, as usual, mario kart and steamgames, but also boardgames like „Game of TWC“ and cards, the saturday did end with the lasagna we prepared throughout the day, the smell made our mouths water all the time (sauce made from scratch, lots of veggies! Yum.)

Because now we finally were 4 people, we decided the 16th was supposed to be a funday. We thought we could give ourselves some wellness und luxury, starting with single-made pancakes for breakfast. With full stomaches we drove to Diepholz to find the minigolf spot we were looking for on „the interneeeeeeeeet“ (a little black box actually Biggrin that we did carry around with us all the time). Actually, it was not an easy breakfast-then-minigolf thing. It was more like a whole lot of discussing and planning and desperately waiting for the pages to load – but hey, in the end an activity was chosen and it was a LOT of fun.

Nirv in his very a-la-mode shoes, looking like he was about to go to a conference meeting rather than a minigolf spot compared to Mega standing spread-eagle OVER the minigolf course to have a better aim was really a sight to see.

There were some rather easy courses, but also a bunch of difficult ones with loopings and mazes and some very unpleasantly placed walls which made the ball come back just the way it came from. I guess some of the best courses were the one with a little hill on the track with the hole in the MIDDLE of that hill (you either get it directly or you faiiiil – there were a lot of „ooooooh“ and „daaaarn“s) and that freaking, driving-mimus-crazy track with just a circle with a net on a stick – you had to make the ball fly up to a height of like 1 meter in order to win >.< nopenopenope.

Back home, even though after all these sports, we went to make the „Schnitzel“. Yeah, real german-austrian Schnitzel, very thin and suuuper yummie with fries and veggies. It took literally hours until everything was ready, especially since Mega had the idea to make some Schnitzels with a crust of cornflakes rather than normal breadcrumbs. Goooood, it was so tasty but oooh, it looked tedious how Mega stood there at the table, back bent, smashing those poor cornflakes with his bare hands Biggrin
[Image: vnOb8WT.jpg]

Nirv had fun flattening out the meat for the dinner, and it was good he did not try his hands at putting the crust on – yknow, Nirv seemed „a bit“ clumsy Biggrin Always good for a nice laugh, be it throwing the knife with nutella through the kitchen at breakfast, spilling tea everywhere, or scaring himself so much by noticing he is again fiddling around with something that he lets whatever he has in front of him fall to the ground :P There are so many more stories to be told about that.
The Schnitzels were so tasty, we were in some kind of food-coma/ foodgasm after dinner, not doing much for the rest of the evening.

But new day new try. This time with, requested by Nirv, „more sport“. After we woke up Megaman from his megasleep by filling the kitchen with smoke during the preparation of the food and thus making the fire alert go off we had breakfast (french toast for the frenchie Biggrin) and then we started with the search for an actual sportsfield in Rehden. Yknow, we thought we could just walk there. WE THOUGHT. It was like 30 degrees outside (well maybe a biiit less), sun burning, we carried bags full with water, badminton stuff, a football and 2 packets of these „jeu des boules“ things (you each have 2 balls to throw/roll towards a small ball, closest one wins)…DARN it was heavy. And we walked and walked and walked. And Mimus thought there was a better, smaller sportsfield than the big one at the end of Rehden, so we went searching for it…big nope (however later we DID find it…read on). Not finding the smaller field right on the spot, we then walked the other way to the big sportsfield---aaaand there are people training on it. But hey, there is another smaller one next to it….aaaand it is closed. But hey, maybe there are people inside that building we can ask if we can play there…aaaaand there is nobody.

Devastated, we made our way back through the village, Mega and Nirv still on the hunt for at least some grassfield to play a bit of football on. We did find one, it looked really nice – until we actually arrived at it. Grass was about knee-height. Dundunduuun. Last straw was the „schützenhaus“ in Rehden, some kind of clubhouse which had a nice grass-spot. Went there, asked if we could play a bit on the grass, they agreed and yay we were happy.
Even more so after we found out that the grassfield we wanted to play on in the first place was just some plain thing, and BEHIND it there was the little, better sportsfield we wanted to find in the beginning! It had a Basketball spot, lots of space, some football-things and even a few weird looking gym-machines.

And we stayed there for hours and hours, playing basketball (everyone was good except me),
[Image: undefined.jpg]
football (everyone was good except me…)
and this ball-with-tinier-ball-game (everyone was good except….hey actually i wasnt THAT bad this time!).
Mega was tall enough and with long enough legs to always get a good grip at things, while Nirv was super dedicated. And by that I mean „i throw myself in the dirt for it“-dedicated. Quite a bit of our water (and my sniffies) was used to clean him off Biggrin
When the sun started to set a bit there suddently were a loooof of mosquitoes, so we went home eating some seriously tasty noodles with Mega-Mans salmon-and-whipped-cream-sauce (lig had some bolog. Sauce though).

On Monday we took the good weather (this time it REALLY were about 30 degrees) as a sign and drove to the Dümmer Lake not far away from the meeting spot. It was a nice place, sand beach, water not too cold, also not all that many people there…but the flies, omg these stupid, annoying flies. They did not bite, they were not huge, but there were millions of them. Tiny, black, crawling on your legs and arms and just everywhere. And after applying sunscreen (a must-do, unfortunately) you couldnt even brush them away, your skin was sticky enough for them to just STAY. Hmpf.
Nirv and I tried escaping by going for a swim.Less flies, yes (at least alive…there sometimes were layers of dead flies on the surface of the water). But swimming? Not really. The water was quite shallow, even though the lake itself is deep enough for ships and all – it was just that it did not get deep for a long long time. I guess you would have to swim-walk quite far until you reach a certain depth.
Not wanting to stay in that shallow water Nirv and I joined Lig and Mega at…the towels? Nope. Nobody was at our bags, oooomg. We found them at the café close to our towel-spot, drinking some cold drinks (lig) and warm drinks (mega). Joining their talks and drinks (nirv = cold, mimus = warm) we spent a good amount of time just watching people, chatting and failing at making a full-group selfie. We are just not born for it.

What we ARE born for, or at least thought to be born for more and more with each drink, was karaoke! We were browsing through our games and found a michael-jackson singing and dancing game for the playstation. Shy at first, but steadily becoming more brave we danced until our heads hurt (Yeah, Megaman is just too tall for the lamps in the living room) and sang until our lungs gave up (Nirv was just croaking in the end).
We all did a rather okay job, except for Lig. He did not want to sing at all, but when asked nicely (or forced…depends on how you see it Biggrin) he HUMMED the whole song – and got like what, 4 or even 5 stars? Dafuq?!
As the night grew older the atmosphere became more and more lightheaded – maybe also because Nirv became more and more funny for us. We all had some drinks, but Nirv managed to drink HALF the bottle of whiskey all alone. He was sooo wasted – in a funny, playing youtube-songs and singing along way while Mega and me were watching (smirking :P). Lucky for us Nirv made it upstairs to his bedroom without falling down the stairs again (srsly, im glad xD I was walking behind him, he wouldve crushed me if he wouldve fallen backwards!).

Since Nirvie had a slight hangover the next day there was not all that much with sports. Instead, we went to the beach again and rented a paddleboat. It wasnt much work making it move, the steering was fine and the view was awesome. Ofc there were these goddarn flies again, but we evaded them for a bit by having a swim in DEEP WATER, finally, yeaaah!
Most of us also got a little sunburn, but that was so worth it. Sunny, no clouds at all over the lake, and we even saw a few fish…or at least we thought the bubbles and water rings came from fishies (Nessie ahoi).
Hungry from the work (paddling takes its toll aswell!) we had a quick rest at a local small restaurant (more like a lunch/bistro thing tbh) with fishbuns, jägerschnitzel, burger and currywurst – and cold drinks, ofc.
It was a small lunchbreak, because home at the meeting spot there was a BBQ waiting for us. Literally waiting was what we did, playing some boardgame and trying not to die due to all the smoke coming from the bbq lig was firing up.
Later we had nice steaks (Rostbrätel, yay) and cevapcici (not selfmade, but Mr. Mega-Gourmet marked them as „acceptable“ Biggrin he knows how cevapcici have to taste). We also had some roasted veggies which were eaten even by TWC|PlzNoVeggies|Nirv. Getting back inside cause of mosquitoes we finished our game and afterwards tried our luck at playing poker (Mega was the dealer usually Biggrin and oh yeah he won…..the house always wins, hmmhmm!).

Wednesday the plans were to go to some nice restaurant and, later, to a beach-bar called „Bar du Mar“. We spent the day with lots of games again, especially „Keep talking and nobody explodes“. One person has to defuse a bomb with the controller, seeing the bomb on the screen, but not knowing how to defuse it. Another person is in the other room, not seeing the bomb but having a readme on how to defuse it. It was a LOT of fun seeing Mega and Nirv try to defuse a bomb including wires, buttons and weird symbols. Especially when Nirv askes if there is a „buuuuuuutoohn“ and Mega tries his best to understand what the frenchie wants from him Biggrin Or if there are symbols but you dont know how to explain them. Spider with a spear! Wait no, an octopus with a stick! Or is it a bug with a lot of legs? Who knows.

After the sun started to go down we went to the restaurant. We actually were really lucky we got seats right away and all. People told us later that the restaurant is usually booked for weeks ahead and you never get a spot without reservation. Hmm^^. It was indeed a quite fancy and nice looking spot, lots of dark wood and candles and silverware everywhere. And then there was Nirv, ordering a big german beer in a big german glass, spilling his beer everywhere before even taking a sip. Really, everywhere. The table, the menue, the fork and knife, his lap, the floor and even the pillow he SAT on. Dont ask me how he did that. The waitress had to smirk a bit when seeing Nirv looking like a sad puppy, a quarter of his beer gone, asking for more napkins. She came back with a whole package of them xD Good thing though there was no more beer-spilling. Just a bit of throwing chicken bones from the appetizer plate over the table and trying to drink from the candle instead of the glass next to it :P

While Nirv was fighting with his shaky hands (from this day on clumsy people referred to themselves as being NIRVED), Megaman tried to eat the MEGAsalad. He was asked if he wanted it as appetizer, and he said yes. It WAS the appetizer salad, but gosh it was huuuge. We did not manage to finish the plate, even though we all ate a bit of the salad while having the main courses (fish and noodles for me, meat-skewer for mega, burger for lig and some really big, juicy steak for Nirv). Nobody could eat dessert though, we were just too full.
When we wanted to pay the bill we started to notice the sky getting cloudly, dark, and suddenly---rain and thunder and lightning! So much to our plans with the beachbar. We waited until the big rain was over and hopped in the car, using „the iiiiiinternet“ to look for another place to go to. Unfortunately, the bar at the lake was no option anymore (not only because of the rain…we found out it only was open till 10pm o.O), and neither was any other bar around the meeting spot. At least none of the bars we found online. All closed already, such a bummer.

We went back home, and on our way we thought we found another bar/nightclub thing. It looked really flashy and bright, lots of neon colours, a few cars parked and all…called house of 1000 lanterns. Sounds good, huh? Yeah until you visit the website to find out more. Choose the girl you like, and choose the room aswell! Hearts, whirlpools, cocktails and…yeah, nice girls….noooope we went back home and played „Cards against Humanity“ instead. After all, we ARE horrible people >Biggrin
[Image: NzZERIG.jpg]
The 21st was the last full day and mainly consisted of games, talks and taking pictures with our super-duper cool TWC shirts
[Image: Y9hcaoq.jpg]
and watching the 2 guys paint their plates to take them home Biggrin[Image: Oz4GLeZ.jpg]

Later the next day Master and Charmy arrived, soon enough to see Nirv leave (Megaslow left earlier). It was a very short meeting for these 3 people :P
Waiting for another person who was supposed to come that day, we did not go anywhere special. Instead, we did play a lot of „Keep talking and nobody explodes“ (fun to see couples play it aswell Biggrin), racing with the wii-cars and shopping. Not the „Lets go shopping for clothes“ or something – no, we spent a loooong time in the supermarket with Charmy and Master, looking at and for all the „german stuff“ you can buy. It really made me see our supermarkets with different eyes.
All these beer flavours, lots of snacks, cake mixes (apparently quite unknown in the Netherlands, at least the brands and flavours we had), and ofc…sausages and meat. Lots of it. Raw, cooked, smoked, in cans, in glasses, frozen or fresh….there are a lot. And we even bought some bavarian (since that seems to be what most people see as „german“) white sausages, which we wanted to eat the next morning with sweet mustard and pretzels (well, it wasnt really pretzels, it was some bun-thing with salt on it) aswell as lots of „Kinder“-sweets and „Götterspeise“ aka. Gods food aka. Jelly :P

After the big shopping, we went on playing and chatting and ofc eating snacks – there were some apparently very tasty chocolate chip cookies nobody could resist :P It was already the 2nd batch, because Mega and Nirv ate the first one in no time. Thor arrived aswell, however not at the meeting spot but at the airport in Bremen – Lig went to pick him up and how could it be any different, ofc they had to run through the airport trying to find each other. I even got the well known message from Thor stating „I am at blablabla, I dont see lig, haaaaalp“ xD

When everyone was finally home, we made some nice burgers with looots of different sauces, even garlic (shoutout to that poor dutch garlic sauce that doesnt taste like garlic unless you eat like half the can on your burger). While everyone else just ate his burger the way you eat it Charms decided to make herself a burger, then tear it apart and eat the parts with fork and knife Biggrin

We agreed that going somewhere very special (an amusement park or someting) was barely possible because every day all over the day people would be arriving, and they all wouldnt stay that long, just over the weekend. Thats why we decided to start the Saturday with a huge breakfast together with the others who would arrive (yourdog, shockwave and moanraker), do some yet to planned activity and have a big BBQ in the evening.

The night was somewhat difficult. Everybody got a nice room (Master and Charmy the wooden bedroom, Thor the single-bedroom), but ooooomg the mosquitoes. Unfortunately we did not close the windows in the early evening, and this even though the lights were out the mosquitoes took it as an invitation and were eeeeeverywhere. We spent at least like an hour or so (?) upstairs, with the door to the rest of the house closed, trying to kill all the flying monsters with shoes and other flat things and even bare hands. Record amount was made by Thor who killed a whole…i think 21? Mosquitoes during that evening.

Funny enough, after preparing breakfast on Saturday it took so long for shockdog and yourwave to arrive (they managed to get lost on their way due to „uuuuuemleitttung“), that we all (including Moanraker, who was picked up by Lig earlier in the morning) were half-done with eating already, not able to wait any longer and withstand the good smells of fresh buns, warm waffles, german sausages, coffee and all that tasty stuff, especially SCHNICKEN. Yourdog and Shockwave did not eat much for breakfast, being too exhausted to eat I guess :P Good for them though that they did not get „bzzzzt“ by some speed camera unlike…well, all the others (Nirv and Master Biggrin). Yah yah, german autobahns might have no speed limit but villages do.

After breakfast we went shopping – AGAIN. Ofc we did need meat and all for the BBQ, but the trip to the supermarket was also a travel in german-wonderland again for all the meeting attendants. Thor was looking everywhere for a german souvenir, Moanraker got a hold of some fly-killer for the mosquitoes (yeaaaass, buuuuurn!) we now all feared, Charmy and Master ran through every aisle putting „german stuff“ in the cart and Shockwave and Yourdog were amazed by the „huge bottles“ of alcohol – apparently in the netherlands they do not sell these sizes, though for us 1litre of whiskey and so on isnt something special. I mean hey, there are even bottles with up to 5 litres sold for special occasions in the supermarket :P Master bought quite a bunch of different little alcohol bottles as souvenirs.

Because we still had quite some drinks at home (Tequila, Whiskey, some shots etc.), we mainly bought beer again, especially beer-mixes like Waldmeister (nobody of them knew the taste Biggrin), Raspberry and Energy. Those beers together with all the meat we bought, from steaks over normal tiny sausages and big ham sausages up to little sausages with cheese inside and wrapped in bacon, we had it all. Also, Charmy and Master were a lot in the kitchen baking dutch cake that tasted a lot like christmas, aswell as preparing some marinated chicken for dinner.

Since we went with 2 cars to the supermarket, and because Thor still was looking for a souvenir, we split the group. Some went back home while others drove into the inner parts of the town looking for moaaar german stuff. Funny enough, I am not a good helper when it comes to finding the route, understanding the navigation system or knowing where to park or not. It took some time until we found a place to put our car and then we walked and walked and walked, looking in some weird shops that sold everything, from underwear to plates and even sports gear. Eventually, Thor found a nice beer-bottle-in-a-package and Master bought a breakfast board. After going back home we gave one of these small-money-shops a visit and there Thor found a beer-glass, finally. It was a smaller version oft he usual huge german ones, but it was filled with yellow and white gummy candy, so it looked like beer a lot Biggrin

Once all home the guys wanted to…..mow the lawn! You gotta know, I was told to mow the lawn during the meeting time by ligs mom, basically some housework in exchange for being able to have the meeting in her vacation home. But nobody ever wanted to mow the lawn, with grass almost as tall as Charmy :P Luckily, the boys wanted to play some football and in order to do that they HAD to mow it, muahahahha.

What we all did not expect was the fun they had. Charmy and I, and some others at first, were inside preparing food and chatting when we started to hear the sounds of the lawnmower being surpassed by the laughter and shouting. Wtf? The guys were running all over the garden, lawnmower in ones hand while yourdog was swinging a huge grass-edge-cutter. They even found (dont ask me WHERE) a pitchfork and a barrow (with a flat tire though). Because the lawn was so big (in size aswell as concerning the height oft he grass), it took hours to mow it, and we did not even finish it all.
But nobody seemed to be angry at the work. Instead, one after the other they came out of the house and they were almost fighting as to who can mow next, and yourdog kept his little edge-cutter all for himself, never putting it down…until the fuel was empty xD Then ofc he switched to …the piiiitchfork. Everything big and kinda dangerous, you can be sure yourdog will have it in his hands in no time.

Kinda exhausted we sat down later, playing some „Keep talking and nobody explodes“, invented some new words for all these symbols (a tent with a stick!) and cut a lot of wrong wires Biggrin
After we all had enough of the console-gaming we went on to boardgames and gave the „Game of TWC“ a try where you coulc actually choose a way of tryout, a server, could get a position ingame, a rank on the forum and all that. We had cheaters and fieldops and campers, MSTs and banned people and supremes. The game was a lot of fun, even though we had to pause it because our bbq-MASTER was done firing up the coals (without hairspray and deo this time :P).

We ate outside in the garden with a nice view on the freshly mowed lawn, with cold beer and hot meat and some sliiightly dark herb-baguettes (yeeeeh i fcked up the oven timer….but well, we all know yourdog likes the ass so maybe a darker one doesn’t bother him :P). A lot of chatting and discussing is what followed, not only about hobbies and countries but also, ofc, a lot about ET and TWC and things that can be done or should be fixed or could be improved. The meetings are always not only some sort of vacation with friends where you do a lot of fun stuf fand chill, but you also always get a lot of new input for the clan. Basically, see it as a business-and-teambuilding-meeting. I wonder if we could offset it against tax? Biggrin

When the mosquitoes starting to become more and more of a threat to our poor bare skin, we went inside painting the plates.
Charmy made a lot of really cool patterns, being so fast I guess she could have finished 6 plates in the time the others painted one. Master painted a really cute landscape with a bbq and a house and trees…I think it was the meeting spot Biggrin Shockwave drew, veeeery slowly, his name and the one of his server on his plate. It came out looking really awesome, kinda chinese and stylish.
Poor yourdog started with high ambitions of a TWC-Logo and the clanname, but he is so much of a perfectionist that in the end he spent more time rubbing the paint off the plate than actually putting it on :P He later changed his design to painting Nitmod, since that ofc is where his heart belongs to as BG supreme.
Also, everyone ate Kinder-candies and some even tried the infamous jelly in green and red that we bought at the supermarket – apparently it was waaay too sweet and chemically-tasting for the poor guys. Except for Thor though. He inhaled his portion Biggrin
Since the plates needed some time to dry before they could put them in their bags we decided to finish the Game of TWC which we started before the BBQ. Some got a looooot of fans in the game, some had to pay the medic a whole bunch of money and some were lucky enough to constantly land on the XP-Day fields and got a lot of XP aka. Money.

Because the evening was still rather young and we were all a wee bit hyped due to some beers and other things (Moooonster and Kolbendreher, some liquor made in Rehden, the meeting spot) we have had, the idea came up to play a bit of Cards against Humanity. We played it before with Megaman and Nirvy, but the game is even more weird and funny with more people. There were constant explosions of laughter, and a lot of very very bad jokes ranging from guilty-funny to just cringy.
A common, reoccurring through the meeting, question was “Why am I so sticky” and apparently you have a very racist MST who pulls „poorly times holocaust jokes“ out of „the jews“. But hey, everyone laughed and chose that answer, so they are all equally „horrible people“ :P
[Image: rNIwXj8.jpg]

We had so much fun during that evening, or rather night, that nobody really wanted to go to bed. Master and Charmy orignally wanted to leave that day, but got carried away so much they spent another night and left after a big, but not fancy breakfast the following morning. When the car was gone Yourdog and Shockwave also packed their things and went home after chatting and chilling.

Thor left the 25th quite early,, so we started painting the rest of the plates in the evening before.
[Image: PYPhSZg.jpg]After Thor was gone we were left with only Moanie Biggrin We were still hoping someone else would hop by like Poseidon or John, but noooope. Thats why we decided to end the meeting a little bit earlier than those 2 weeks actually planned.

The rest of the time we had was spent with packing, cleaning the house, fixing a few more things we had to (Lig finished mowing the lawn and Moanraker tried his best to put a fly-net-door for the backyard – it has some really weird 3-parts-system). And ofc we also played some more games and, how could it be any different when having lig and moan in one room, quite some technical talks :P

While chilling until the meeting was over we got a bunch of messages from the others telling us they arrived safely (and without another speed-ticket!!! Biggrin) at home.

The meeting was absolutely awesome, 2 weeks might have been a tad too long but we did do so many cool things. Some of them were expected to be a lot of fun like the paddleboats and the minigolf, some were funnier than excepted (Cards against Humanity and the Platepainting) and some things were thought to be actually boring but a must-do (hello, lawnmowing?) yet still, to our surprise, filled with joy and laughter.

Even though next year we (aka lig and me) will barely have time to plan and come to another TWC Summer Meeting (lots of work and dual studies and almost no vacation time), we will do our best to plan one.
The general idea at the moment ist o go toooooooo…Slovenia!
At least if enough people want to come, especially the ones who live around there. Yes it is far, especially for the ones from the north like Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. Even for southern people like France it is quite a travel. But we are all motivated and able to drive a car or go by plane/train/bus, arent we? :P

Moreover, it will give all the eastern people a chance to visit one of the meetings, and Megaslow told us that in Slovenia whole holidayHOMES (aka. Actual houses) are quite cheap, so we might have another meeting with houses rather than tents Biggrin

Until next year then,
See!!! You there,

For the record it was 24 mosquitoes that I killed in my first night with Lig's shoe. The whole area around my rooms door was a graveyard filled with the bodies of annoying mosquitoes, a warning to those bugs who were thinking about coming to my room too without my permission. And on the note of mowing the lawn, I had the important task of being the supervisor at the start, a task that I gave to myself, since no one else seemed to think of it. At first it was fun, sitting on a chair, drinking beer and instructing my minimum wage workers where to go and what to do. But as my beer ran out I joined them and lead by example. In the end I think we(the workers, not the supervisor) missed a spot still.
On a more serious note the whole meeting was really awesome, glad I flew there. Now to start saving money and collecting bottles for the possible trip to Slovenia next summer o.o
