GUID Problem (archived by NightFall)

Hey! It's old Knuckle here. i finally got a new fancy iMac PC so i could play with you guys again since my last laptop shattered. But there's a problem. I'm getting a GUID error that says its "Temporary and should try to reconnect". I've tried generating an etkey. I've tried reinstalling PunkBuster. I've tried reinstalling ET. nothing has worked so far and I've been searching all over the internet to find a different solution of that i have not already tried. Help me out so i can get back to slinging gun powder and lead with you guys? Thank you

it wont let me run it on my imac. it says that there might be a problem with the application or my imac isnt up to date. my imac is up to date and it still doesnt work. i also tried using wine software which successfully boots and runs both et and legacy version. but heres the issue. when i get to loading the actual server, both programs tell me "disconnected for unknown reason." any ideas there?

ok so i figured out that im able to connect to my home server (trickjump) but i am unable to connect to nodownload and gives me "unknown error". that just flat out confuses me.

It's dutch :P but Mac doesn't have an easy option for opening things as an administrator. I use Winebottler (Wine), Sky gave me this link to the program and for me it works great! Just not ETPro..But I'm not pro anyway :P :P Atleast I can join our beloved HS server and ND as well huehue .

I'm not having any GUIDproblems using this..IDK if the program actually does the trick. It just sometimes warns me "PnkBstrB.exe heartbeats stopped" but I never get kicked or whatever. Only one mod (forgot which one, it was a TeamMuppet serv :P) wont let me reconnect after mapchanging but it's fixed with a restart.

Ok. so im running a windows version of the game and some of it works but not all of it. and the game has slow fps and runs laggy, opposed to running the mac version, which is very smooth and fast. ive noticed why the guid does not validate. ive checked my punkbuster service. it runs BUT it also says "DNS resolution failed" apparantly there is a server it needs to connect to validate the guid. any tips on there?
