Very low FPS (archived by NightFall)

yes so far my pc runs smoothly,

well i set gamebooster to close all backgraund programs even explorer.exe so i think there are no programs running except for ET ,

unfortunately i cant use a cable to connect to the internet cuz its a very long distance from me to the router, but i think internet is not the case,

I made a clean install a few days ago, and i made sure there arent any usless folders left,

i set maxfps 125 but it never got near 70, so then i set /com_maxfps 70 cuz thats the max i can get,havent seen my fps go higher then 70 mybe once when i was turned in to a wall but when i moved it fell instant to 20,

Well i tried /com_hunkmegs 256 + /vid_restart and then typed /com_hunk pressed TAB and it didnt change it was 56 then i tried the same thing again but instead of 256 i typed 128 and again vid_restart and still 56 kinda really wierd, i also tryed to put it a bit higher to 512 but then ET crashed and then i had to reinstall ET.

I also tried you CFG but it didnt help, it just set my graphics to really low but my fps was the same.

And when im playing ET my ram usage is at 75% , CPU is at 50-55% i tried almost everything and still i really dont know whats wrong.
And also im playing with /cg_draw2d 0 i think it lags a bit less, and when playing on a full server with 30 people it really lags alot.fps drops tp 5 or less when shoting at a very long distance.

But inside its 3x better, or looking at walls and things that are near

i suggest you should try my config (makes everything very ugly )

(note that i use custom resolution 1920x1080 so you should change that what you use)
if that dont help i think your pc just cant handle ET so well

try the following commands -

also as you can see in the picture you sent you have few settings which could be set to lower values like geometric texture,texture details ,dynamic lights

I tried megans CFG and it was kinda like djukis but still i had 20fps althou i think its a bit less lagy then before anyways thanks i really appreciate all of you helping me.

I also tried Killas suggestions and i think it helped cuz after i set the commands i looked at a wall and i had 90fps,this is the most i ever had so thank you, but when im moving indoors i have from 30-40 so im quite satisfied with this but, when moving on the battlefield it drops to 10-20 so i quess if i wanna play i might aswell stay indoors..

Starting to think my pc cant handel et that well. Its not that big of a problem since im planning to buy a new pc.
So i wish to thank everyone for helping me once again!

weird cuz I used to play et on my windows xp with quite steady 60 fps.

Do you have a solid FPS during the game or, for example, as it does not move in the game is 20-30, and how you make a movement is reduced by half or 3/4?

I know its really wierd, mybe cuz its a notebook laptop and it wasnt meant for games,thought it would run et great but i was mistaken.

my fps drops only when im in a place with a lot of space around me like (i would have 2fps if i escorted the tank on venice) and when i aim at a very long distance, the fps dosent really jump that much when i move around, .Drops like crazy when people throw arty/smoke nades.

Well kurd im really not sure how W7 would help since it uses more ram and cpu then xp.
