Since a while i'm bothered with members not able to mute ore kick irritating people ore rule breakers since higher admins are arent always there ore just in game AFK,

So i wondered if we should ad: Mute To admin level5
And kick to 6

So at least lower members (5 mostly) are able to mute.

That isn't a bad idea indeed,
but maybe u can try this first idk how it works or is even possible in jaymod but in nitmod is it like if u get an "x" amount of warning the next warning will be a auto-kick.

rakon is level 7 so he has them cmds but however me and rakon did talk about it and i also think its not a bad idea.

We had this discussion a la "more power for low levels" over and over again.

There are quite a lot of reasons we still do not give so powerful, and especially abusable, commands to every level.
Let me explain it.

The lower levels, aka. in this case 5 and 6, are no admin levels. That means, unlike the admin levels which will only be promoted with the agreement of the supremes and after a well-thought thinking process + discussion, literally anyone who can setlevel (which is rec+) can promote someone without further hesitation.
The levels which are the so called member-levels are given based on the maturity and activity of the people, not more. But in order to be admin you have to show you can also be trusted, and especially have a certain sense of aptness in decisions, and ofc be objective enough to handle admin-matters in a calm and polite manner.

The argument is always "well, i am all that - why am i not being promoted?" Well i can not explain that, but im pretty sure that your fellow server members, admins and supremes do have a reason for promoting some and not promoting some others. THat doesnt even have to be negative. Some people just might seem too young, or too busy with rl, which is not a bad thing, on the contrary.

So, if we all agree that there is a reason not everyone gets these levels, the other main argument is "but admins are never there". Indeed, sometimes there are not enough admins ingame, especially around some periods of time like late evening/night for our mostly european team, and the time around school/work sometimes.
However, what i never understood and still do not understand - you say nobody is there, but i can hardly believe that. There might not be too many people ingame, but we also have the shoutbox on forum and especially the steam (former xfire) list of friends.
How many of you did actually try to add all of the twc members? or at least the ones from your server and the few supremes/msts?
I am online A LOT, even more lately cause of a lack of university atm (tsss, stupid TU, but anyways). But i get super rarely, like once every few months, called into a server in order to help.
So, my word is: get up and add people to steam. get up and call someone with the ability to help you.
And if all fails and those people still do not answer you, or say they dont want to be bothered, then it might be advised to talk about that matter to your supremes in order to find out if that person is still in the mindset to be a good admin.

Oh, and if it comes to "but when you connect they always are nice/polite again and dont sk/wj/insult etc. anymore" --> make screenshots. Its easy. Just one click and upload or send via steam. Rly. Its not that much work

Hey Mimus, though I agree with most of your points I can't understand why a recruiter is already able to setlevel because without a leaders permission he surely wouldn't be allowed to do things like that. So why is a member not allowed to at least mute sb?
Yes there is a shoutbox, steam or the social network to contact the higher admins but most people would be too lazy to do that. At the moment of the incident they are on the server because they want to play et and not spend their time on looking for an admin in the whole memberlist. I can't imagine a good player who is already a level 5 or 6 member to abuse the rules using only the mute command. About the !kick I'm not sure so it would be better to not include it in a members rights imo.

For the people who would feel abused by a member: it's the same as feeling abused by an admin. These players can always visit the forum and write a complaint as some of them do and in most cases they succeed.

A recruiter is able to setlevel so he can set the people who got accepted (application/trial on forum) to level 4 ingame. Members can mute (level6) and even splat (6 aswell)

So as you can see, "a good player who is already a level 5 or 6 member" can indeed use mute (at least the level 6 person). And if it should be the case that someone needs to get kicked or there isnt even a lvl 6 - member around to mute someone, its not too hard to give a quick msg in the steamlist. like srsly, its not that hard to look into online friends in the twc group (you can "tag" people in steam with different things, e.g. i have all the twc people tagged as twc and can instantly search for online twc players only. you can go that far as to make tags for supremes, ha, certain servers etc. aswell).

Look, imagine person A joins the clan within the 2 weeks trial. Then, if hes active enough, he can become lvl 5 in less than a month (because at least 1x per month ppl in the promotion discission decide about promos/demos). Do you think person A is by then super well known by us that we can be sure that he will not abuse abusable commands? I dont think so. A month is nothing compared to a persons ability to just act like a mature, nice person. And even if he doesnt have abusable commands at level 5, he still can become levl 6 in just a short time (about 2 months, if hes dedicated) - including mute and splat.

I dont think that someone who is in clan for just about 2 months should be able to have kick already. I dont say everyone is able to become 6 by that time, but its a period of time we assumed to be doable when we thought about which level should have which commands.

If people are too lazy to ask admins etc then they don't have a reason to complain, It's already said but you can't know if people will abuse etc
