Minecraft Creative + Events launched

Hello,

today we want to announce a new approach to the whole Minecraft Subject.
In the past we used to have a vanilla server and also a server with mods like tekkit. We played survival, had economy systems, money and trade.

However, just as we feared, things start to become a little (well, a lot) less interesting once everything is basically done. After you have your house, a farm, a mobspawner, good armor and whatnot, went to the nether and the end etc. the game gets boring, even with a mod (they do not last forever aswell).

This is why we decided to launch a Creative Server together with the EA-Clan instead of a survival-themed one.
You will be able to claim plots on the server and build whatever your feel like. You can change the biome, the daytime and more on your plot. You can work on it with others, prevent others from entering it, and you can even have several plots.
Also, ofc you can teleport to spawn, your plots, other players and so on.

The Creative Server will also have another world, called Events.
This is the world that will be used for our competitions and festivities. The plots there will only be used to e.g. build things for the themed events, and will be cleared after the event is over.
Some events will have prizes, maybe we also add another world to showcase winning plots from previous events.

So when I can build using any type of resources does that mean I will have an infinite Misc/Blocks and Items in my list ?

And ah yes I forgot that we shall use /mv help instead of the /help command right ?

The world allows for creative game mode, so yes, you will have unlimited supply of all blocks available.

The /mv help will only show commands related to switching worlds (sub commands, so to say), whereas /help should show all major commands. You can also checkout /p help for help on using the PlotMe plugin to claim your land.

Alright great !

But just wanted to say that theres still some problems occuring i mean i guess i dont have any permissions to use commands,

I cant use /help
neither /mv tp events or creative etc.

Maybe because im not a member on the server or smh.

And i guess when i spawn i end up having nothing in my inventory and probably low hunger level = death.
or i am just wrong maybe i forgot how to open the inventory for infinite blocks n stuff

imo the server still needs some stuff to be fixed cuz it shows me you've enterted to an unkown server and there is a Sign which tells us to redirect to forums but the url is not mentioned properly xD,

Hani, I had to deal with the same situation and wanted to write about it here, but you were first.

Anyway, I have the same problems as Hani. :<

Things are fixed.

The only thing you couldnt do so far was teleport (because we still had an issue with the normal world spawning if someone accidentally tpd there). You were able to use commands, since you already claimed a plot e.g.

The help command wasnt given because we thought mv and plotme help would be enough for you. Added it.

The unknown server was just a placeholder for the name, because we were not completely certain what to use together with EA.

After the last restart the server apparently ddnt save the mode in a world, fixed it.


If you encounter other issues, please notify me. I could delay the event for a week or so to start it only when everything works perfectly, but since the halloween-date wont wait for us i thought why not just leave the event on. whatcha think?

Can i attach misc infront of my building wall? (like torch for eg)

Because i cant do that, theres that Slab around my building indicating that i am not allowed to build anything ik, but it doesnt also allow me to place torch infront of the building which i want to,

And ye theres another prob i guess, whenever a new player connects he starts up as survival in creative world, so hes informed to go to events world and his mod will change back to creative, is there any fix if the new player connects and starts up with Creative mod immediately rather than survival or informing him to go events world etc etc. ?

About first thing, it's impossible, bcs it's already outside your plot. It sucks, I know, I wanted to do stuff on my walls as well.
