Microsoft NSAifies Windows 7 and Windows 8

Since Windows got away fairly easily with Windows 10, and how it added features that collect everything about you under the sun (source: here), they decided to do the same for Windows 7 and Windows 8.

http://www.ghacks.net/2015/08/28/microso...8-systems/

To remove the updates:
1) Open Start menu
2) Type in cmd
3) Right click cmd.exe shortcut that appears and choose 'Run as administrator' and then click 'Ok'
4) Right click on the opened cmd prompt and paste the following strings in:
Code:
wusa /uninstall /kb:3068708 /quiet /norestart wusa /uninstall /kb:3022345 /quiet /norestart wusa /uninstall /kb:3075249 /quiet /norestart wusa /uninstall /kb:3080149 /quiet /norestart
5) Restart and make sure they are not visible in Control Panel -> Programs and features -> Show installed updates. They can also be uninstalled from there if they are still visible there.

However Windows will continue to offer these updates to you, but you can right click them in Windows Update and choose 'Hide update'.

No, there are different things you can do on Win 10 though;

http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2015/07/...-settings/

But as you can see from the first link in this topic, that won't stop telemetry, and some report that even editing the hostsfile won't work since there are built-in code that can bypass even that... Thx Microsoft

Some advanced things can be found here: https://www.reddit.com/r/conspiracy/comm...indows_10/
just read what they do before doing so and you probably don't even want to apply all of those "fixes".

This is also an option: https://github.com/10se1ucgo/DisableWinT...g/releases

I'm not sure what you meant :P Microsoft added telemetry for Windows 7 and 8 also, like I mentioned in the first post. By removing those updates specified (also on the first post) they should be disabled. However I haven't researched this now, on a later moment - because they might have added more things that enable telemetry or similar "services"...
