Connection issues (archived by NightFall)

Hi there ,

I used to play ET a couple years back but stopped as my PC broke. I recently got a new PC and installed ET again. The download went well and my connection is fine, however when I try to connect to any servers it doesn't work.

I wanted to connect to TWC No Download specifically since I remembered it was a great server, but it just keeps saying "Awaiting gamestate...", then shows this message for 2 seconds:

"Downloading:
jaymod/jaymod-2.2.0_reds_v102.pk3

Estimated time left:
estimating...

Transfer Rate:
0 bytes copied"

After it shows this message briefly, it changes back to "Awaiting gamestate", then back to the download message and so on. I was wondering if anyone could possibly help me out as I am desperate to get playing again?

yea I have that too sometimes, it is when it is a big download and it your computer doesn't give the program a chance to let it download or sth I think.

With me it usually solves the problem by closing et and restarting it. Then I see it downloading it (map or mod).
So try it and you should see the same message but like also see some % going up like 1%....2%......10% etc.

did u also tried running as admin?

try downloading the file manually. and save it into jaymod folder... And if there is a file with the same name in or jaymod folder delete that one and connect again. if you cant find the file please post so. then ill send it through mail.
