W:ET Connection Interruption near other players (archived by John)

I have changed laptops and the new one has windows 7. When I play ET now, I lag when I'm near other players or when they're many players on server. It shows connection interrupted but when I'm away from players it works fine. I've tried r_primitives 2 and 1 through 3 already, cl_maxpackets 100, rate 25000 and pb_sleep 500.
Please Help
