A new era

Hello dear TWC members (and guests) who read this.

Today is an important day.

Due to the constant suggestions about even more democracy and power for the members, we MSTs have come to a heavy, but probably very positive decision.

Often we hear from members, that their level is too low, and they can not prevent people in the servers from acting bad. They can not make screenshots, demos or go and call an admin for whatever reasons (srsly, which are the reasons?).

Also several admins constantly complain about not being able to play, because being an admin is so hard and takes a lot of the gaming time away due to problem-solving, banning cheaters, soothing discussions and fights. Still, those people wanted to become admin, knowing the things that come with this position – and they want to stay admin (for which reason again?).

This is why we decided to give it a push.
We do want more democracy, as people always ask for it.
We do want to let the members help in server more than “just” by taking proof and calling admins.
We do want the admins to have less work as admins.

So we came up with a new levelsystem.
Not a team, not some kind of ingame supporters or difficult stuff. No, just an easy levelsystem.
In fact, its more than just easy. It only consists of 3 levels.

From today (lig will put the levelsystem on as soon as hes home) we will have a new era in TWC.
We do not differentiate between members, higher members, admins and recruiters and such. We only have members and non-members.
Guests will have the usual commands, so they will be able to get the time and the rules and whatsoever.
Clan Friends will be the ones we trust more, so they get some more useful commands.
Every member, no matter if former member, admin or supreme, will have ALL the commands.

We trust our members and are certain that you people, as mature as you constantly claim to be, can handle such power.

The members who asked for more power now have it, and the admins who asked for less work should have less, now that there are more/all members with commands like mute, kick and ban.

The only thing that now remains in the hands of the MSTs will be the FTP-stuff like server-settings, new maps etc.

Since you are now grown up enough and stuffed with so many power, Im sure TWC will also thrive without active MSTs. We are no longer needed for administrative purposes like who is gonna be supreme etc. If there is sth you people want to be done on a server, just message us on forum and we will answer your request.

If there are things you want to change about the levelsystem, e.g. who gets which commands (clan friends and mute e.g.?), Im sure you will be good with making a democratic decision e.g. with polls.

I hope this is a 1st April fool ..
it will never works on time I guess. Whoever complained about much work as Admin, they aint a good one. Im playing in our ND Server which is the most visited one + Member in Demoteam and have enough time to play also .. There will be a Mess when everybody got the same Power as High Admin had.

I see both good and the bad in this... The good is that the admins will do less admin work (like you say) and there will not be any admin level complaints. The bad is if somebody abuses there cmds\lvl how would they be punished?

Dear MSTs,
I also hope that this comes as an April 1 joke.
I would like to ask you to suspend the introduction of this level system and put it to 2 weeks discussion, as not any aimed discussions have been settled in this case.
I think granting such admin rights to normal members, moreover clan friends would cause actually everyday troubles. I think neither clan friends nor normal members should be entrusted with any power commands like muting or in no case kicking. Even practiced and trusted high admins have sometimes difficulties with judging cases and perform their duties. Even if a member is recruited, he is so far from being admin like Beijing from New York.
If some more admin work is needed, then let us grant more "admin" (level 7) levels to members with muting, warning, putting to team and maybe kicking rights.
So I ask for discussing it and deciding it later, but this time I only ask for suspending this plan.

Firstly I hope its the april fool's joke.

Secondly , there are a lot of disadvatages to this kind of system rather than advantages.

Well all are not equally mature , and not all clan frds can be trusted , there are trollers too.
I would rather like to have more high level admins like recruiters than giving everyone same power or like butcher said....level 7 admin since it has mute , kick , splat ; the basic commands required to punish.
