new frag map

hi everyone, my name is yogi, some of you know me from the sniper server.
once in a while i make new maps, some are frag maps some are sniper maps,
and i thought i would come by and see if anyone here would like to use them.

anyway, i made a frag map a while back, the name of the map is overheat.

basically, the allies need to steal radar parts from the axis truck and bring the parts to their own truck.

i didn't make waypoints for bots, so bots wont work on it, if anyone is interested in making waypoints for it - go right ahead.
personally, i hate bots lol.

i will add a few screenshots later so you can see what the map is about.

Damn right we are. Nice to see your still around man. Hope to stop in and say hi in the sniper server sometime when your there.

Send the pk3 to John when you get a chance. He does most all of the installs now. I'm sure he would be willing to try it in Mix'd Mod and a couple other servers.

Ofcourse, and I have vacation as well so I'll be able to make the waypoints as well (yes i can do that sheet)
So where is it?

Oh and if you're interested, I'm trying to make an LMS map. The main idea is finished but i'm not good at filling the map with interesting stuff.
Maybe you want some credits and wanna fill it for me? (objects don't work on Last Man Standing)

about your map john, im working on a new sniper map right now, but i will be happy to help as soon as i finish it.
just got too much on my plate for now.

could you post a message when you load it to the server ?
i want to be there and get some feedback, so i can make changes if needed.

I've played it a bit and I think its a great map for LMS as well
Objective won't work in LMS though

But its worth a try!

i looked at it on the server and i see i made 3 mistakes in the map.
1 - there was a missing texture there
2 - the fires don't move for some reason
3 - some ways that i should have blocked


problem 1 - i fixed it right now.


problem 2 - , i think you have a missing shader on your server, so i added the shader to the pk3
i could be wrong, my system does have more shaders then the normal setup because i create and add shaders
to my maps.


problem 3 - i fixed it also

anyway, the only way i can test to see if it works is by giving you the fixed map, so here it is the fixed overheat_b1

didn't make a portal on this map, at least i dont think i did hmmmm..............

i've gotta rename it to b2 because some players may already have the file and will get stuck if the map is playing (i'll do it for you )

i just tried it on a fresh installation of ET and it works great.
so now at least we know the map is ok.
