hmm,
i would give him an trial off 3 or 4 weeks to see if he is here only for the lvl's, if he's here for the lvls we can decline the trial.
what do you guys think of it?

To be honest, I think implenting the appliction form (as TJ, PW and ND) would be a good idea.
You can filter the immature and inactive ones, and make the applicant show he's worth to be a member.
As for Niko, I'd suggest the following method: make him put ^e[^*R^e] in front of his name, and check his activity (in-game and with gametracker, and on the forum) and his behavior for a week.
