Hmmm,
my opinion. If you upgrade you already decided that your current system still has some good items you can use.
In your case everything besides your sound- and your graphicscard.
this surprised me a bit. the last couple of years the soundcards are build-in to the mainboard. Maybe yours is broken and you dont want to replace your mainboard, but otherwise you must have a really old system.
In that case I wouldn't recommend buying a card that, in our words, needs to have the best graphics for gaming. Because it'll be really expensive but more important the rest of your system would be able to support you GPU (graphicscard).
A PC is like a team. all components must be in balance. Like a soccer team. Having the best goalkeeper in your team while the others play like crap you will still lose the match. I hope you get this metaphor.
So be4 giving more advise I think this best to begin to describe what you already have. What kind of processor, mainbord, powersupply, DDRram HDD etc etc.
To still awnser your question. A cheap soundcard will do. buying a GPU is a different matter. and it really depence on the rest of your system. but you can buy a good GPU for around €100,-. you can get a decent for €60 but you can get a great one for €600,- all up to what you want and what you want to spend on it.
Good luck!
