Mouse Snapping Issues (archived by John)

So lately I've been playing ET some more, but this weird issue has popped up. My mouse keeps snapping to random locations at random times. Its sort of like how an aimbot snaps to heads except, its not an aimbot. At first I thought it was mouse acceleration, but I changes it values, and turns out that the problem still exists. Any help would be nice.

I assume you have a optical mouse. I had a simulair problem and it turned out that there was a smal hair in front of its lens. Try to clean it verry carefuly.
I hope its that simple

It probably isnt a problem with the mouse, because the mouse works perfectly fine in day-to-day applications as well as other FPS games such as CoD.

which mouse do you have? and what did you already try in order to fix it?
also do you have any mouse-related software installed?
did you use a reg-fix to disable negative mouse acceleration in ET?

Propably server issues, has happened to me too couple of times, (almoust) everyone had it on the server though.
Other reason that may cause it: dirty mousepad, something in front of the lens, if laser mouse--> incompatible with mousepad...

Maybe you should by new mouse, but "good". You know, LG, Samsung etc. I have got same problem, and I think it's probably becouse i have got mouse from untrusted company.

When buying a proper mouse I would rather go for like razor or cmstorm then some samsung mouse they aren't that good
