Heavy SK Rule (archived by Antho)
#1
Hi

So whilst playing tonight I get warned about heavy sk rule on Fuel Dump by TWC Moja. He states I should know better what with me having 700,000 xp.

Well here's my opinion. I mean we all have one right.

Firstly did you take a demo of my constant infringement as if anyone had specc'd me they would clearly see I have a nice spot I like to aim my arty on Fuel Dump and it is no where near any spawn.

I have checked here, your very own forum and yep my arty is within the allowed rules

Really lately some of you guys admin'ing/ref'ing have been rather poor.

I agree with Moja on one point. I have been playing here long enough to know the rules, maybe some of your members need a refresher lol.

I'm probably one of the most honest players who frequents your server...

it may be, but for example in oasis just some mins ago one of your nice spot splash damage was constantly hitting in spawnkill area. i can't judge this case couse i wasnt there, but in any case screenshots would help. without screenshots nothing can be done you know.

I also warned you kotz in the same map, you did you did air support right by the second gate, so if splash damage hits there--> spawnkill

Look I can understand if someone is constantly purposely Sk'ing, however how many times have you thrown air strike markers and found splash damage travels further than you thought.

If your going to get all upset over arty here's a suggestion why not ban it all together, there is no way you can put silly green and red marks on a mapped area and then tell players don't ever allow arty over in that area. My point is if it's accidental fair enough. I don't believe I was constantly putting arty in just one position and to be fair I only threw a few cans that map inside dump as I know you get better results in holding the axis up with Artillery, rather than air strike.

As for Oasis my arty wasn't aimed at Axis spawn. I moved my arty when informed the splash was falling into the spawn area which is more than some players do.

I suppose what annoys me most is that you guys pick up on what little infringements I may do now and again, yet you let loads of other serious stuff other players do just slide. There is no complacency within your admin'ing/ref'ing.

I have stated in the past I respect your server and it's rules after all it's you guys who pay for it. It would be nice to see everyone play by the rules of course and not just me.

the rule is very clear: no heavy sk in spawn-areas and same goes for splash damage.
you put it right next to the not-allowed area and it "accidentally" hits inside of it by splash damage.
so to prevent any confusing situation just don't put your arty/strikes 1 inch after the limit but be sure to put it where there's no way it would cause a spawnkill
and it doesn't matter if anyone is constantly sk'ing "on purpose" or not, the rules are the rules

Well it would be a good thing to add the splash damage into the SK rule here on forum, just to prevent any more discussion.

Didn't see it. Thanks. Wink

Similiar situation takes a place on goldrush second / ultimate axis spawn, where allies drop flares on the bridge and ofc splash damage spreads way down right in front of the spawnexit. Both cases are taken from the same sack and such allie act is disallowed.

I get your point m8. You are saying Sometimes in the heat of battle we all make mistakes. And we should focus on guests who really dont take this rule in consideration.
I agree with you up to a certain point. Thing is that it's hard to make sure every one upholds the rules. your comment "did you take a demo " means you think we'll spec every who's rules braking. That aint the case. We are playing just like you and we respond to violations that we come across. And the point i made be4 also goes for admins; "Sometimes in the heat of battle we all make mistakes."
You apparently did spawnkill (splash) and you got warned for it. Thing is you didnt do this up corpse while you did got warned this way.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

Btw. You're a great player!
