I don't know why this is happening, but it's unplayable.

We know the problem we are trying to solve it. It is cause by some sort of person overloading our server. Ligustah is working obit at this moment. Unfortunately we cannot say how long this will take just yet, but as soon as we have more information we will let you know

Happened again in HS today, any updates on this?

There's unfortunately no way I can permanently fix this without reinstalling the whole machine.
I won't do that, but I'm working hard on getting everything prepared for the move to the new servers.
I'll make a post about that soon™.

You are not the only server lagging like that. Many do atm as I heard and saw

I ran a test with TJ today and it seemed to work flawlessly.
I also prepared everything to move the domain (twcclan.org) to our hoster.

This move will probably cause a short (most likely 1-2h, not more than 24h) downtime on the forum, which in turn I will use to move the forum itself to a new server. Once the domain is transferred I will start to gradually move the servers, one by one. This should take about a week, since I'll be very careful with moving so activity won't be hurt hopefully.
I will probably leave the old servers running for some time after that with like 2-4 slots, so when guests connect via IP they will get a message as to where to find the new server.

So for now it mostly depends on how quick the domain transfer will be. I can't really estimate on that one, since it involves sending documents via post and people checking my identity.

Heads up: We will also migrate everything to a new server control panel ( http://bgpanel.net/ ). It's very young and still under development. One of the goodies is that it allows us to assign one server to several client accounts, meaning all supremes will definitely be able to get an account to control their servers. Also it looks better (according to Dope, who got a chance to be my beta tester for it)

But seems great, and question is possible when ND server is moved to higher the max client rate on the server to prox 40000-50000?

We will create accounts on the new panel on demand along with moving the servers. We will probably just PM login information then.

The actual moving won't be hurting activity much. The bigger problem is the IP change that comes with it. So people who have bookmarked the server and connect via IP won't be able to find it anymore.
