Hi,

I've finally uploaded some screenies and this 1 is from last week. I was playing in ND (just reinstalled ET so didn't have my own name yet, lazyness at it's best)

I just want to ask if something is allowed. In this particular screen it's Bl!tz but it could have been anyone. (altough this behaviour afterwards was kinda remarkable) Since I don't want people to start another fight with Bl!tz I decided to post it in the high admin section for everyones sake :P.

He was standing on 2 landmines, and I had an open change to kill him (was shooting him already when he eventually landed on the 2 landmines.) he aimed his panz down and vaporized himself (on purpose). He claimed this was not selfkill since it isn't /kill and he told me to read the rules. I think I'm well aware of the rules and the rules say no selfkill in battle. Altough this is not /kill it still is 'vaporizing yourself on purpose so you will not get killed by another player' kinda the same imo.

So the question is, is this allowed?



PS: If this IS allowed, it should still not be done, especially by members. Could you imagine all of our guests killing theirselves with; flames, molov, nade, rifle nade, panz, satchel charge in order to save their kill count.

I see your point Bollie and if you wanne put this against the rules it's gonna be very hard to keep it up but indeed as a HA of ND he shouldn't have done it

Well the rules say selfkill not /kill :P. But lets see what MSTs think about this cause they are the one who set up these rules :P

The main rule is:

You can NOT kill youself in any situation with /kill (unless for classchange ofcourse).
You are allowed to kill yourself in battle with grenade/molotov/arty/etc.
BUT you are not allowed to kill yourself when stepped on a landmine, no matter how. Therefor, Bl!tz was wrong here.

You should never kill yourself with the purpose of killing yourself before the enemy van. Aiming Down with your panzer is in my opinion self kill and should not be allowed.

Lemme ask a simple question,
for example, why would selfkill on mines with /kill NOT be allowed and killing yourself (while standing on mines) with a nade/panzer etc is?
Both times it's selfkill, has the same purpose and is taking an opponent's kill away.

My opinion, selfkilling in any circumstances on a mine should NOT be allowed, you obvious can call an engi to defuse the mines for you if you want to, or jump off and trying not to get killed.

That's my opinion, dunno what everyone else thinks about that?
