LoL is just something too strange to me..
WoW is bit better but its strange too

I used to play Runescape 07 some time ago and one Rsps called paradise 639 (which is dead now ), i stopped playing Runecape cuz i lost my all cash D

2 teams, both have bases. 1 team has 5 players and they try to fight and destroy other teams base.
There is 3 lanes (bot, mid and top) each lane has 3 turrets which are defending towers and makes much damage if they hit you.
There is also minions spawning to lanes, by killing them - you gain XP (levels) and earn money.
Usually bot and top has 2 players, and mid 1, but there can be "jungler" who has spell called smite, he kills creeps and minions at forest, and sometimes comes to "gank" lanes (jumps from bush and surprise kills enemy).
When you kill minions, and sometimes champions (hero/champion, they are other players and their characters) you can buy items from store. There is many kind of champions and they need different items. AD, AP, support and tank are most usual kind of champions.
AD champions uses attack damage items, which deal damage with basic/normal attacks, they are usually ones that "carry" game and kill everybody. AP champions are ones that deal damage with abilitys (abilitys are these q,w,e,r buttons, 4 skills which are different at every champion) If you do ability/skill to enemy when you have much ability power items, you make much damage.
When there is champion who uses little bit both, attack damage and ability power, hes called "hybrid" champion. Makes damage with basic attacks, and with abilities.
Supports are ones that support carryes (AD and AP damage makers), usually at bot lane.
Support gives health and mana (mana is used when doing abilities, by going base, you can get max health and mana).
Support is just champion who supports other champions whole game by healing/giving mana and using their support abilities, they dont buy damage at all. Supports buy mana regen and items that give powers to nearby champions.
Last is tank (Im usually tank :P) Tanks are ones that have much armor, magic resist and health. Tanks are ones that rush towards enemy and take all damage. They are very hard to kill because of much health and other defensive items and ablities.
Tanks cant do much damage, and they are just ones that are leading group through map, and defending them.
Every champion have own abilities (4 skills) and you must read/learn what they do by putting cursor on them.
After you gain level ingame, you can upgrade one of your skills by clicking that "+" image on them.
Your last ability/skill is called ultimate, it has long cooldown and can be achieved at level 6, usually they are main and best abilities that champion has. Every champion has also 2 spells, you can choose your 2 spells at champion selection before game starts.

Some abbreviations:
AD = attack damage (some players can say "adc" at game start, they want to be basic attack damage makers "attack damage carry)
AP = ability power (all damage you do with your abilities/skills)
SS = enemy missing from lane (so others know to be aware)
B = base
Supp = support
Jungle = jungler, who kills creeps and minions, and "ganks" other lanes
OOM = out of mana

You can check which champion is AD or AP, support or tank - by going to store, and click tab "champions".
Now you can search for champions, click any and you see 4 bars there (blue AP, red AD) defensive and difficulty bar.
Every bar shows what kind of champion is like. Much AP = makes much damage with abilities ingame - but means you must buy items that have ability power.
So you must buy items which are good for each champion, there is "recommended" tab for each champion ingame, which shows recommended items for champion you are using, thats thing you can do first.
After little time, you become to learn which items are good for each champion, also you can see other champions and their items by tapping tabulator button.
Btw, you gain "influence points" by playing, you can see them at right upper corner, and can use them to buy champions or runes. (Runes/runepages increase some powers ingame, depends what runes you buy)
Other points you see (yellow/red) are riot points, you can buy them with real money and use them whatever you like (skins, champions also, runes, bundles, runepages and etc.)

Tutorials are very good, but remember that LoL is very hard at beginning, and its fast tempo game after all (maybe not at beginners levels).
