ET and Xfire

Hello guys,

I don't know about you guys, but in the past I had some issues with starting ET and going to a server while doing it with xfire. I have a solution, I will explain you beneath and it isn't difficult at all.

I had some issues by losing XP and losing admin levels.

I don't know if this is still the case but I still want you to avoid any problems with this, therefore I'm making this tutorial.

As you see here, I'm having some TWC servers in my favorites:
Favorieten(Dutch) means : Favorites (English)



As you can see below, you can access to this server by pressing right mouse and join server:
There is: 'Meespelen' which means 'Join server'



After you clicked on joining the server. ET will appear and starting to launch the game.

I had a few times that my etkey reseted after joining a server with xfire.
To prevent to this from happening. I have a solution, I will explain you beneath and it isn't difficult at all.

1:
Go to your Enemy Territory folder and click the etmain folder.



2: Go to your etkey file



3: Right click on the etkey file and go to properties.
In the tab 'General'.
Algemeen(Dutch) means : General(English)



4: check the opties: Only read on
Alleen Lezen(Dutch) means : Only Read(English)



5: Click apply and if you have to give administrator rights, click 'Yes' and click 'OK'.

Problem solved.

I hope this helps a few people who are connecting to servers with Xfire.
