No Download Tryout-Trial (archived by Chuck)

The members are kinda be given a 'trial' during those levels. So it's not needed imo

Just like in real life, when you get a job, you are representative for your company, and you will have to go through a trial period, to see if you're right for the job. As I see some (fairly new) members in the clan who are acting like they're 9, talking in Capslock, can't ask people normally to not break a rule, and not even being active on forum. They're not breaking the rules, but they're also not good fellow team members.. And yes, you are right there is no difference, but people who are level 12, will not be promoted if they're not acting like a real TWC Member, but also will not be kicked. Not saying we should kick every misbehaving member, because 9 out of 10 is mature enough, in my opinion, but some are just not, so yeah, you would miss maybe 3 new members, but it might makes TWC a more succesfull Clan.

Then again, this is my opinion.. But I've been in more clans, also where they did this trial thing, and the members were just more mature and active on forum..

I think that your idea is good, although Sky is right. The first "member" levels are some sort of Tryout, only we dont kick people or talk to people who we dont find a good representative for our clan.

I think that we should be working on that.

Well, before recruiting someone if you would check how he behaves on the server, the case you are explaining with 9 year old kids talking in caps, wouldn't happen. SO this is a more viable solution, than implementing a try-out system and disadvantage the good members who deserve the 'membership' right away Smile

And if it still happens that kiddos are being recruited, if they go too far, kick them, nobody will regret them. I don't see how it could happen often btw, if my point mentioned right above, is taken in consideration Smile

Bloodbath has a point.

But i recommend to make sure every server base should higher its recruitment.
Some of the servers only need a 7/3 or 7/5 ratio.

You guys should adjust it to atleast 5000 XP to see how he acts in server.
+ the specific requirement of that server base.

Kjell has a good point here.

You can easily get 3500xp in one day, doesn't say much of your behaviour. Once they play a little longer, you know who they are, how they play/act, etcetera. Plus, people who join at 3500xp, are never staying long active. And the activity of most members, mostly ND new members, on forums, is really low.

Let these guys who want to join, get a specific amount of XP and while during that time, you spec them on their behaviour on server.

After that, they will be granted with a try-out where there need to fullfill the requirement of that specific server base.

You'll get less kids.
You'll have more active players
You'll see their behaviour more specific.
You,guys, have enough members in TWC so it would be good to higher up the 'joining requirements's.

That's not always a bad thing, you know.

When I was a kid, I had this friend. He was smarter, and maturer than all of the kids his age. He was around 14-15.

I'm still good friends with him to this day.

Just because the person is a kid, doesn't mean they aren't mature.

No, that's true but I'm talking about the kids who are TALKING IN CAPS all the time or saying noob in public because you killed them.

These are the kids I'm talking about.

And sure, you have 'kids' that act mature and behave but you have others aswell.

If you know what I mean Wink

If your under the age of 18 it doesn't mean you're immature. Age is just a number, which you can estimate someone's behaviour a little bit with.(Through internet). Wink
I think that 3500xp is good to get for new people (Like it's set now, in ND), because you get to know the server and the members. And that trial thing, it's a good idea, but the others were right. Level 12-16 are some kind of trial. But apart from that, it's a shame for our clan to when they do something 'wrong' and they have their TWC tags on.
Both are good to use in my opinion, but I would rather go with the level 12-16 trial kind of thing. Biggrin

EDIT: @Kjell, yeah I know what you mean, those unexperienced immature people :P
