Gen sent me something he did as a class project. I have never seen anyone do anything like this before for TWC or ET for that matter. I wanted to share this with you and he has given me permission to post it.

Wolfenstien: Enemy Territory (computer game)


Wolfenstien: Enemy Territory or W:ET Is a first person shooter game for Mac, windows and Linux. I first played this because Me, my Dad and my sister were bored and were all on computers or laptops. My Dad told us of a game called Wolfenstien: Enemy Territory. We decided to play it. But it is a very big game so it takes up a lot of space and we never got to play it till the next day. I was pretty rubbish when I started and still am not exactly the boss of the game.
It’s a multiplayer game and there are many clans. We picked a random server at first and I quite liked it as you could lean left and right but still be able to shoot (you can always lean on all mods but only some mods you can lean & shoot) and the Panzerfausts are guided with the mouse (panzerfausts are rocket launchers). I never found this server again, but I was sure it was a Vietnam mod but a special one. I went in search for it but, instead of that, I found -TWC| Vietnam so I joined the server, and played on it for a long time. I found out –TWC| is a clan, so I searched online for it. I found it and made an account on it. I spoke on the shoutbox and someone (who I found out to be was one of the Master Supremes) asked me if I wanted to join TWC. I didn’t really care about the levels but I joined anyway. I went in Vietnam server and I passed the try out. I didn’t even know I was doing the try out, but somehow passed anyway. I became friends with the people of TWC and enjoyed it. I soon became a high admin on Vietnam or, recruiter. I made some great friends on the server but since I went on a trip to London have never seen them again. I made more friends within TWC. This picture here is the TWC Logo. I became level five in each class. There are five classes, each with their own weapons. These are the Axis’ classes and their weapons. Soldier: with the MG42, Panzerfaust, Mortar, Flamethrower and MP40 as primary, and if you are level 5 in light weapons and heavy weapons, for secondary you will get: Luger 9mm, Duel Luger 9mm and MP40 and for specials you will get a gas grenade (spreads out gas for a short while choking enemies to death). Medic: M97 and MP40 as primary, secondary is Luger 9mm or if you are level 5 in light weapons Duel Luger 9mm and for specials: Health packs (Gives health) and Needle (revives teammates). Engineer’s primaries are MP40, M97 and K43 rifle with mounted grenade launcher and secondaries are the same, specials are: Pliers (to disable & arm dynamites and mines and also to make structures) Landmines (normal landmines) Shrapnel mines (like landmines but they jump into the air then blow up, causing much larger splash radius & damage) Gas mines (mines that do not blow up, but launch a gas bomb) Dynamite (it destroys any structure). Field op has MP40 and M97 as primary, same secondary, and specials are: Mega Ammo box (drops a box that holds 2 grenades or 2 gun clips) Airstrike marker (throws a marker that makes red smoke and, unless under a roof, calls a double airstrike), and artillery that fires shots overtime at a certain spot you use with the Field glasses). The last class is covert op, which has as primaries Sten, FG42 paratroop rifle and scoped K43.
Secondaries are the same, just with silencers on them. Specials are: Smoke Grenade (spreads out smoke for a short while making it hard to see), satchel (Has the ability to blow up certain structures with a remote to destroy it when you please unless you go too far away) and can disguise as a fallen enemy.
The Allies is the same, just instead of MP40 a Thompson and instead of Luger 9mm is a Colt APC 45. The Allies covert ops has scoped M1 Garand and engineer has instead of K43 has M1 Garand with attached grenade launcher. These are just from the Jaymod, which is the main mod, but there are many other mods and some are being created all the time.
On the TWC forum I help out with the Vietnam part and have even made my own fire team (a team within a server) called D/C (or Destruct/Construct). It was the first on going fireteam in Vietnam server. Some of My friends in TWC are Mayhem, Death,Thrasher and Syne but I have many others. TWC is a clan mainly for fun, but unfortunately there are some people breaking the rules.
The rule breakers are kept at bay with commands, but some people from the actual clan are using these commands in an abusive way (E.G. the command gib they are using to kill people that are playing nicely). There are many ways to cheat, like Walljump (not jumping off walls but getting over objectives that are not yet blown) or trickplant (which is the same just planting dynamite on the objective too). There are hacks unfortunately, too like wallhack which is where you can see enemies through walls, but is quite easy to spot as they will start shooting before they reach the end of the wall, but this can get confused on the Vietnam mod as covert ops have an ability to do this every so often without hacks. Another hack is Aimbot which is a bot that aims at heads straight away. People can think others are hacking but It may just be the mods they were on, as if you always get headshots, it may just be that you went on headshot mod, or if you know where people are, it may just be because you have been on that map loads and know where people are likely to go. That’s why TWC has the Video checker team, because nobody should be banned unless they have made a demo of it and the team has watched it and approved that it is hacks. There are servers that are allowed hacks, but not TWC. The quote of –TWC|Headshot is this: “if your skills are installed, you are not welcome here!” all members are trusted to respect that. I personally have never used any hacks and try to abide by the rules as much as I can but not only that, but I enforce them as much as I can.
W:ET is a team-playing game and to win, it’s not just about killing. There are objectives, to escort a tank to somewhere, or to blow up a generator, or build an anti-tank unit, it varies. There’s no point just being a medic to go in and just keep healing yourself, as you will need people like field ops to give you ammo or an engineer to plant landmines or build a barrier. The way to win this game is teamwork. That’s what the game is about, and that is why I like it. There are many games I have played but none have beaten this one. It is my favourite game and I totally recommend it to anyone who likes first person shooters like CoD and Left4Dead.

Thats a really cute essay

ive never seen someone do an essay with this subject - but its a great (and brave, considering some teachers tend to be a lil "difficult" with war games) idea.

Maybe add this little explanation of WET and TWC to the thread where the game itself and our clan is explained on forum?

You should mention about RTCW (Return To Castle: Wolfenstein), Enemy Territory is nearly 90% based on RTCW. Anyway awesome essay, great job. Teacher will be happy to read such great essay
