Geocaching

[ZonElax]

Hello guys and girls, I'm woundering if someone of you is Geocaching. What is Geocaching?

This is an international game, where you are basically hunting for the ''treasures'' using a GPS device. When you type in the coordinates in your GPS, it will show a point, at that point (or somewhere near it) small box should be hiding. When you open it you will find small paper, you can write your name and date on it. You can find all coordinates on this website: http://www.geocaching.com/

My sister is Geocaching quite alot, I go with her sometimes if I have time. Yesterday we found 3 out of 5 treasures (too bad I didn't have my phone with me). It's a great opportunity to go outside somewhere you haven't been before.

Oh and a tip: You better have good GPS device otherwise you won't (or very hard) find the treasure.

There are few types of Geocaching (size of the box):

- Nano/micro (very hard to find)
- Regulary (medium)
- Big (not very easy, but not hard either)
- Multi (more points - every new point has a clue for next one)

Im not geocaching, but when i walked under the big bridge next to my house, i saw this small plastic taped under the bridge. It was a geocach. So i found that without using GPS. But when i opened it, there was only a piece of paper saying : F.U

Well, yeah you can find it by 'accident', but you shall not destroy it or make any damage on it.

i somtimes go geocaching, but we dont normally use a GPS.we got money from one, replaced it with this mini toy thing.

But yeah, its quite a good thing to do if you like the outdoors.

Today tried it, downloaded app on phone and randomly started to search one, and found it.
Would be fun to try some harder ones soon, but indeed this is awesome thing after all.

It is alot more fun geocaching with ppl rather than on your own, just to add.

There are some places where you go to and they give you like a map or sth to help you. Thats what we did when i went, cause we didnt use gps (well, my mum/dad might of, but i managed to find some of them on my own) Sometimes you can get really great stuff, and other times you get nothing lol.

It's actually not about what you get, but to have fun with friends outside and explore. :P When we're geocaching, we go somewhere out of the city to some river or lake (if there is any).

Why is it that expansive?!!?
