Hey guys,

so I've planned to wait until next week to do this, but it just worked out faster than I had expected.

What is all this about?
Well, I'm considering to do a complete upgrade of our server infrastructure, because our current server machine caught some dust already :P

To get an idea of how well my plans would work, I set up a test server and I would like you to really stress test it. Get as many people as possible there to see how it performs (it's set up as a 64 slot server).

Currently, there are 32 bots sitting on there, but I'd love to see 40+ real players on there to get some real world data for my calculations.

The server is basically a copy of No Download, so admin levels and XP of ND should be carried over.


Sooooo, call all your friends and try to get this server to its limits!

It appears there is a problem with the domain name. If you are unable to connect to the server you might try this IP instead: 85.214.128.61

Hey

I saw your post about the test server and something came up to my mind hehe
You made the ip like: test.twcclan.org
So I was wondering, is it possible to create also ip's like this for every TWC server.

nd.twcclan.org
pw.twcclan.org
bg.twcclan.org
sn.twcclan.org
etpro.twcclan.org
etj.twcclan.org
hs.twcclan.org
vm.twcclan.org


I wonder if it's possible, cause it could be great, it allows members and guests to connect very fast to the different servers and that kind of stuff. So I wonder if it's easy to do, and also, as I've always been interrested in ET servers stuff, you mind explaining me how you can do it, if it's not complicated? It would be great!

Yes, it's possible. It's also one of the things I planned to do, when revamping all the server stuff.
The problem is, that it requires the servers to run on port 27960 for that to work, but only one server can use that port per IP.

Currently we only have two IPs, so we could only set up two domain names like that.

If the tests work out well, each server will have an IP of its own, and hence will get a domain name like you suggested.

So is it also possible to set the max rate alot higher without lagging other TWC server, for example sv_maxrate 64000 if im right

what look at F|A server has also high rate, but the logic about it is that the main server will be faster so if u use higher rate u have more stable connection (if you have enough Download speed :P)
