General Double XP - Recruiting suggestion (archived by Chuck)

Hello i got a little idea,
I do not know if its possible, to give a certain player double xp for a period of time,

But if it is possible, I would do a kind of event,
Every player that joins this month gets 30 minutes Double XP,
Meaning they Come play and if they like it come back,
Because XP does not really mean something,
But guys do want to have a lot so i am sure some people will come check it out.

Yup indeed [and as far as i know that is possible] and ye there are lots of players who s play only on 1 server and they are happy for 10k! and they always come back ,yup yup ,true!
but i think if its edited ,+xp maybe they get the stars with it too..

XP has nothing to do with ranks,
I mean If u got 50k xp it just means Ur a welfare, active member which keeps returning,
And that's what we want to see, People returning,

If i join a server and i see a lot of people with a lot of XP
I'm sure i would check it out a few times more, Because players with much XP also got knowledge,
And if we find some way to make people return, Which the stated idea above does.
Than why not try it to see the activity increase.

Unfortunately xp isn't something that can be spoofed. If it were possible we would be able to give back a players xp when he or she looses it for what ever reason.

Would make things kind of difficult when it came to recruiting as well considering most servers give tryouts after a certain amount of xp is built up.

Please do me a favor as well and don't call people names (geeks) when referring to potential new members. :P

Keep the ideas coming though. We will consider all, but as I mentioned in pm, there is little that hasn't been tried or suggested already. Yet still an original great idea comes a long. So just keep em coming and don't discouraged.
