John is right, it works only on servers on which is the pk3. And no, it isn't for everyone on server side because it doesn't download (no .campaign or .arena file inside). I see no reason to not put it on our servers as it is free to choose.

The readme of the pack.

Description:

This texture modification was developed in order to give Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory more detailed textures.
All textures appearing in the stock-maps are doubled in size, got decent bumpmapping and were saved with maximum quality.


Installation for Server-Admins:

Put the pk3 only into the etmain-folder and it will not be downloaded to clients.
To uninstall this mod remove the pk3.
It's only replacing textures, so it works together with all mods.


Installation for Players:

If it's in the etmain of a gameserver you will see the HD-textures.

tryed it, it drops my fps from stable 125 to around 105-110 so removed it

Umh, really? Human eye cant see frames per second over 60. (So 60 max.)
So actually 125 and 110 you see has no difference at all.
Only bigger FPS takes more performance from your game engine.
Or was it lagging cuz of high quality textures that HD ET has?

it has nothing to do with my eyes but with the bugs in the quacke engine, some fps values give smoother game movement and make you jump further.
