Few questions:
Why is the server called Beginners when it got higher chargetimes than any other TWC server? Soldier charge (50 secs) for example is almost 2x (!) higher than in ND and 1.66x higher than ETPro 6o6 config.
Why is the server called Beginners when panzer allowed only when 66% of server is filled up (at least 14 people)?
Why is the server called Beginners when some weapons are completely disabled to use for newbies?

Just wondering. I don't even mention that 3hs = death because it was always like that and probably is mod-dependent. For me it's atm the hardest TWC server to play on, harder than ETPro. But still "Beginners".

I agree the weapons shouldn't be restricted for beginners, sometimes for the worst aimers and newest players heavy weapons are the only way to kill experienced player, plus it will make the game more interesting and harder for the experienced player. Those settings are still from the times of Sc4r3 being supreme.

Other than that i guess it's easier for experienced players to gain huge sprees when there are not so many people playing. You can basically take everyone 1v1 if you want to. In NoDownload it's hard to avoid situations where you have to face more than 1 opponent.

Why change settings when is having more than 10 players everyday (much more than the past).

Its only difficult a bit becouse u cant kill like in jaymod ( shoot air and kill people.. ).

Just play for 1/2 day and u get used with the aim.

The server is doing pretty well, why harm activity with different settings? Duh.

Not telling you to change it, just asking why the server is named Beginners. I see a lot more beginners in Vietnam or ND. Great that it got activier last days but at least 50% people on server are Beginners or other TWC server members tbh.

If was Nitmod in the beginning, but we changed it to Beginners to raise activity.

It was called Beginners, because when you read the most active servers in ET, most of them have the word beginners or xpsave forever. Divine settled on beginners with jaymod before they chose to change to nit mod.


I wasn't aware of the charge time and weapon restrictions though, but in this case it seems to be working just fine.

Besides no beginner server stays a beginners server forever. Everyone (most everyone) gets better with experience. We could always change the name to "Moderates" and then "Pro's" as everyone gets better.

Umm lets not and just leave it as is :P

What immortar wondered was that why is the server named Beginners if it has most difficult settings (ex. hitboxes are made smaller, heavy weapon restrict, slow recharge time etc). It really might seem nothing like a beginners server but on the other hand i think that training in conditions like that is better for beginners.

For example:
Adrenaline - It's 10 times harder tracking an enemy flying around the map.
Slow medic recharge time - Excludes a chance for experienced player to always run away in middle of combat dropping med packs at hes legs.
Smaller body hitboxes - Beginner gets used to shooting headshots.
and so on...

But as you said, a lot of servers have been called Beginners despite of the server settings. It attracts players and as long as activity is raising changes aren't necessary.
