My point is that have you ever seen a gay person walk into a school wearing a tag saying he was gay? Our servers are no different than schools. We have kids of all ages here. I see no need to advertise ones sexual preference in them.

No and they don't because they fear of getting bullied in school. But TWC is no school and I hope we don't bully anyone here if someone wants to announce their sexual preference. But I agree it's not needed but if someone wants to do it I don't see a problem.

None of that matters really, because my original post is a request not a rule.

Bullying is exactly what I am worried about. We will now have to punish someone for disrespecting a known gay member, when that player would have just played and had fun had he kept to his own business. Just looks like more unneeded things for our admin to do when it wouldnt be necessary if we all kept our preferences to our selves.

Well if someone bullies for being a gay it's not the gay persons fault but the bullys. Maybe it's unneeded indeed but that's not my point.

Somebody named gay should be warned , I would do that , cause its ET and im sure Gay people woulnt put their names gay in this game to be proud, its obvious his trolling.

If a bisexual female was to announce that (and it already happened) what would you think would happen. What do you think happened?

She wasn't bullied so to speak, but the pervs came out of the woodwork. One that I know of got banned for his behavior towards her. All that would have never happened had she not announced it in game.

I'm just hoping to avoid such problems. If not, then we will deal with it like we do racism, and I of all people am ok with that.
