Well the problem is that making an empty server active is very hard and exhausting work. You have to play with bots, you have to be very active, attract more people somehow etc.. And this is a game after all; exhausting things don't have or at least shouldn't have anything to do with games and the fun that goes with them. Besides, until now these activity boost's in other TWC-servers than ND usually lasted only for a couple of weeks. The most recent example seems to be HS, which was very active like 1 week ago and is declining now already. It's just too much of an effort to keep an empty, unpopular server going well for a longer period of time, especially nowadays, where ET is no longer a new and very popular game. I personally would not want to try to get an empty server active again, I wouldn't have the energy and patience for it. And I guess I'm not alone with this. That's why people keep coming back to the idea of changing a few things in ND. Your suggestions towards other servers than ND are simply much easier said than done.

Anyway, I'll try to 'interview' some regular guests in ND when I have time, to see what they really think about the maps issue. I'll try to reach as many as possible to get representative results.
