chain of command (archived by Tomahawk)
#1
What strikes me as weird is that there are alot of visitors and members from other servers that try to have a say in what happens in the ND server.
Like in teamm8's app.
When a player gets kicked out I thinks its a highadmins task to let him know if he can joing back or not.
But I see every body is trying to have a say in it? visitors and members from an other server. If there for instance was a problem with a player on Nam i wouldnt interfer. Because I simply dont know what is the deal over there.

Imo its a bad thing to have everybody spamming there opinion. Because it distracs things. It causes "noise". I think visitors should not interfere with that that doesn't concern them.

i think its wise to let the people on this forum know what the chain of command is for.

How do you guys fel about this...

I am not sure if u are pointing at me as well, which could be the case since I responded to that situation as well.

Personally I spent alot of time in ND too and know most of the regular visitors, their behaviour etc. So that's why I shared my opinion, and directed some advice to the guy in question personally.

Also I think it's good for the ND admins too hear other opinions about the matter to make a decision about it.

However I do agree with you that some comments do not have anything to add and are completely off topic.

I am certainly one of the people that replies on topics in which I don't have a primary role.
The reason I do this is because I believe that I can, exactly because I'm an 'outsider', give a (close to) objective comment.
On the other hand, I could indeed lack information because of me not being an 'active member' of i.e. No Download.

Like I stated in every post of mine, I am not a member of the concerning servers. In my case, if you don't want me to answer, add a line in the opening post asking for opinions of participants.

Well I'm not fully sure with this Djuki.
Off course in some cases the topic get spammed to much, But some information from guests and or other members might be useful to make the right decisions for us as ND high admins. I guess it's a little hard to make this work properly.
If we want to discuss something important without spamming it is also possible in the HA Base right?

Yeah it is kinda weird but understandable I suppose. Still, the rule that you should be at least level 7 (or even 8) to comment on applications remains. Be it that we sort of tolerate others to comment at the moment. It doesn't necessarily mean that people below 7/8 have direct influence on the decision making.
I feel like members should just communicate with our recruiters/leaders/co-leader about what they think of it. And then have the recruiters/leaders/co-leader state a broad opinion in the thread. This is kinda hard to force people to do though. First step would be to start with deleting messages posted by people below level 7, but I'm not sure this would be the right way to go.

This is kinda personal, but I don't mind the opinion of other supremes or high admins from other servers as long as it contains somewhat usable information.

I agree that visitors shouldn't be commenting, unless they have really valuable information. I wouldn't mind it if people start deleting comments from them that don't contain anything useful. This might reduce the noise you're talking about.
