General Attract new people (archived by Chuck)

I was thinking about something, we all know that ET doesn't draw lots of new people anymore, due to it's age ofcourse, but maybe there's a way to circumvent that ourselves.

What i thought about was, why don't we startup a new group within TWC, where other games r played apart from ET, free online games i mean just like ET is but nowadays we can take advantage of browser based games, which aren't bad of which i'm sure you all agree (quake online anyone )
(on a sidenote: just read that Aeria games is gonna release a free browser based F.E.A.R. game which imo was a great game)
That way people will get drawn to TWC aswell, be it through another game but we can convince 'em to try out ET aswell then, and so people that don't play ET will get to know TWC aswell.

This whole idea is ofc subject to change so if anyone has some suggestions to add to it, be my guest, if you think this is a dumb idea, don't hesitate to tell me aswell

You can't expect TWC to keep running servers on an old game.

I would suggest to implent new games like League Of Legends, World Of Tanks.

Because these games are free to download.

Cod4 on the other hand is payable unless you download torrent but we shouldn't be advertising downloading torrents as it is illegal.

Let see what MST think about it and give their opinion.

Well, don't get me wrong here, my intention is not to change what game(s) TWC is playing, i'm rather suggesting a new method of "recruiting" people in other games, preferably free thus addressing the most possible people, and through that way getting them to get to know our maingame, being ET ofc.

Also, it can make of a backupplan when ET would (big would here) happen to die out completely, then we're not solely dependent on ET alone, which makes for another way to keep the big family together .

Sadly Minecraft isn't free, but it is another option. I will search for other possible games we may like. that's actually free...
