Hey guys,
I was already thinking for a long time to make a Headshot tutorial. Since I’ve vacation now, I got plenty of time to make one
So first of all I want to say that you don’t need to follow these tips and tricks, but they might help.
And the second thing is, it doesn’t mean you follow these tips and tricks that you’ll become a pro in no time. You’ll have to practice a lot to master these tricks.
So it's kind of my goal to share my "expierence" and not to talk all the different settings, because a setting could be good for a certain player but then again bad for a different player
So I will discuss a few basic points with you guys:
- Headshot-line
- Movement
- Mouse
- Sound
Headshot-line
In close combat the player who hits first often wins, so timing is crucial! While your opponent gets hit it will be much harder for him to aim at you or rather hit you because his screen shakes and you start off the fight as it were more health for you.
So that’s why you always have to point your crosshair at head-level where an opponent will most likely appear and try to avoid uneven and difficult terrain in order to keep your cross-hair in place.
So there is a main rule in Headshot: -> DO NOT LOOK AT THE GROUND <-
In many maps you can additionally use markings on the wall to keep your aim always on track (e. g. grooves on the walls inside buildings or boxes)
Here are some examples:

Movement
Major rule number 1: ->DON’T EVER LAY DOWN <-
If you do this it will be too damn easy for the enemy to shoot at your head.
I’ll only lay down in 1 situation, and that is when you are nose to nose with your enemy.
If you lay down the chance is higher that you kill him instead that he kills you. If you do this, they enemy will be a bit disoriented because you just ‘vanished’ while you can just keep shooting at his feet. At the time that he finds out that you’re on the floor, he’ll be dead.
Major rule number 2: -> DON’T EVER JUMP IN A FIGHT <-
Jumping during a fight is really bad, you will only make it harder for yourself than for the enemy!
Major rule number 3: -> CROUCH FOR A LONG DISTANCE <-
The only time I crouch is when I have to kill someone who is really far away from me. Crouching increases your accuracy so you will kill him faster than if you keep standing up.
Mouse
I always try to limit the movement of my mouse. You might be thinking:” How do you do that?”
Well it’s kind of easy. If you’re in front of your enemy and he goes left, you have to go right and vice versa. If the enemy crouch, you crouch too, just do the same movement as your enemy does.
Sound
Always play with your sound on. In some maps you can hear the enemy running even if he’s behind a wall. Use this in your advantage, the enemy will be surprised and you can easily kill him! If I hear an enemy behind a corner I start to pre-fire so he won’t get a chance to aim at me or even shoot at me. Like I said in the beginning of the tutorial:" the player who hits first often wins".
So playing with sound can help you get the first shot!
So these are just a few basic tips to help you out and I might update the tutorial with some videos
I hope you learned a bit more from this tiny tutorial and see you in-game soon!
